Battlefield 2 has received the v1.50 beta patch, now available for download. The update brings a new map 'Operation Blue Pearl' along with some gameplay tweaks.

Bad company 2 was still my favorite, sure it was a bit gimped compared to the rest if the series but more fun and far more satisfying weapon unlocks.
Battlefield 1942 + both expansions are my all time favorite, it can still be played online to this day. Vietnam would be my 2nd, 3rd Battlefield 2, last BF2142 the rest I didn't care for. They really need to remake from the ground up in the new engine BF1942. Next year it will be 20 yrs since it was released. If they don't at least to me would be a disservice. ☹

this sh1t is hot ESPECIALLY if you got a sick pc.
I have recently got back into playing BF2 as well as project reality this is a very welcome addition to the game . @ above what do you mean especially if you have a sick pc ?. If you mean that you need a sick(I guess you mean powerful)pc I disagree I run the game from laptop 5920g acer on highest settings and thats not exactly the best laptop for gaming, Geez even my old and retired amd64 3200 with 9800xt ran this on high.
Will be downloading that in a min.
But one map, all this time. jeez.
As far as i know, this sold well.
I still think bf vietnam was better in terms of the feeling of it. and atmosphere.
But i'll try it out again:)
I'm also glad they've added better hit detection, which was the problem in the game. Unload a whole clip on somebody through the scope and sometimes they didn't die, even if using in bursts wasn't accurate.
