Ace Combat Gets 16-Player Support

While IGN's earlier report on the game included preliminary details on the type of online play Bandai Namco is working into the title, the website has managed to clear up one burning question: player count. The game is being developed with a target of up to 16 player simultaneous play.

im very excited i loved this game on the ps2 one of the reasons i owned a ps2...i fell outtA love with it when i could play all my xbox games over live and i could only plat it over split screen............IM VERY VERY HAPPY one of my fav games the way I want it.

'Hawx' Developer: 'Ace Combat' Didn't Feel Real from MTV Multiplayer

Namco Bandai has dominated the air combat genre with "Ace Combat" for years without much competition, but Ubisoft is taking the series head on with the Tom Clancy-branded "HAWX" in March. A Ubisoft developer told MTV Multiplayer one of the big differences between the two games is the element of realism brought to "HAWX."

Ace Combat Series Surpasses 10 Million Units Sold Worldwide

IGN reports, "Leading video games developer and publisher Namco Bandai Games America Inc. announced today that the Ace Combat series has surpassed 10 million units sold worldwide, and that Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system has surpassed one million units sold in North America. Fueled by consistently entertaining and accessible gameplay as well as cutting-edge graphics, the series has remained a critical and commercial smash hit since its introduction in 1995."
