A.P. Stephens of Examiner writes: "Companies all around the world generally tell their consumers and employees about their mission statements and what the company stands for. They all have core values they are proud of and practice their business based off of this set group of said values.
The momentum of Sony is beginning on an upward swing, but all they need to do now is begin practicing and telling about these four "P's" I came up with."

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.

"Four P's Sony needs for 2009 and beyond"
aka
"I want to write an article about the PS3's price but I need to make it seem like I'm not."
But seriously:
1. Promise - With those exceptions listed, Sony has been more timely on showing their games relative to their release AND showing a better representation of the actual game (meaning they've learned from the Killzone 2 target render).
2. Push - I give the author this one. Sony does need to step up it's game on advertising. However, saying that Sony should announce games within a 6-12 month window falls dangerously close to his concerns from "Promise."
Although most people probably don't like it, I appreciate when Sony shows something. Even if that something is over a year away. It makes it seem like Sony has a plan in terms of software support. Besides, it's not Sony's fault for showing these games and then having the internet speculate on release dates.
3. Produce - with 20 first party studios, select third-party exclusives, HOME support from developers, and a continually developing PSN (including exclusive game support), the author's suggestion has been a staple of the PS3 since the second year. In other words, I think Sony already has this covered.
Despite my personal take on this article, I appreciate it's well thought out and articulated content. I don't agree with it all, but it's a definite step up from the moronic ramblings of similar articles.
