Downgrade plan for Windows 7 PCs

BBC News writes:

"Anyone buying a PC with Windows 7 pre-installed will be able to swap it for XP or Vista.

Microsoft has confirmed that the licence conditions under which the software will be sold will allow people to downgrade.

The conditions will apply to both businesses that buy licences for Windows in bulk and consumers that get the operating system on a PC or laptop.

No firm date has been given for the release of Windows 7's final version."

I can see some people going back to their beloved XP, but Vista? I mean, from what I heard and from my own experience in the W7 Beta, there's absolutely no reason to choose vista over 7.

Hardware demands will surely be higher for Windows 7. It's the only reason I can think off to choose Vista over W7.

Anyway, MS sure seems confident in their new product.\sarcasm

is not that M4 is not confident. They know People just b1ich too much about everything.

No, they're actually lower. Especially memory, Windows 7 uses less than a third Vista does.

I can understand large companies if they chose to downgrade to xp if only to avoid the obvious hastle involved in any office upgrade but any day to day consumer would have to be mad to downgrade,i own xp and vista on this laptop im typing on fom my bed,its currently running the beta of windows 7 and it feels to me like the most mature and intuitive OS microsoft have ever released,it makes xp feel like a toy-imo.

Whether or not Windows 7 is better than XP is debatable, but it is definitely better than Vista. And the shut down button is back to where it should be!!!!! ^_^

Review - Reigns: The Witcher (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "Reigns: The Witcher is superbly well-written, and masterfully integrated into the world and lore of Andrzej Sapkowski and CD Projekt Red’s works. It doesn’t feel like a cheap cashgrab. On the contrary, you can clearly see that Devolver, CDPR and Nerial worked together in order to come up with an engaging random story simulator that feels right at home in this world full of liars, deceivers, and terrible outcomes for everyone. Granted, it’s not the most action-packed game in existence, but think of it as you role-playing as a bard, coming up with nonsensical ballads about imaginary heroes on-the-fly. It might actually be the closest to a true role-playing game The Witcher has ever felt in videogame form, even if the gameplay is still as complex as scrolling through Tinder when you have nothing else better to do."
