Gameplayer Writes:
When the Wii was first revealed to the world, it was mocked. Many asserted that it wasn't a proper games machine. That it was simply a novelty, and that folks would eventually get sick of it. Three years on, console sales are bottoming out in Japan. Folks are indeed getting sick of it. If novelty is the lifeblood of the Wii, then it needs a transfusion - STAT. To turn those sales figures around, the June release of the MotionPlus can't come soon enough.
We recently had the chance to stop by the headquarters of SEGA Australia for a few games of Virtua Tennis 2009. Due out in May, it will be one of the first games to take full advantage of the daring new add-on. The MotionPlus is still incredibly rare - the unit we played with was one of only two in the entire SEGA organisation. Scuffed, and covered in arcane registration stickers, it looked like someone had nicked it from Tony Stark's lab.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

That’s why we’re happy to announce the newest Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller and Wireless Headset collection, featuring inspired designs from Forza Horizon 6. The bright cyan and lime colorways celebrate the Horizon Festival’s recognition of iconic cars and hit music, with special features that are sure to impress any collector."

You can get Hall effect controllers slightly cheaper, but you'd struggle to find as feature-rich a package without some heavy, heavy sales.

the author blatently just watched the architect scene from matrix reloaded.
This is the ral deal, like the article has stated. They only gripe is recalibrating before each match but it is a little sacrifice.
Also glad to see some support for the device this may. Wii Sports Resort, EA Grand Slam Tennis, Tiger 09 and Virtua Tennis 09 are going to be fun yet challenging.
Cant wait for more WiiMotionPlus games.
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH this is a secret!
