I dont bash the PS3 like the Mart does but I didnt like the approach sony went about promoting the PS3.plus ,because of ALL that B.S that was spewing out of the mouths of sony boys BEFORE the Ps3 launched. this is kinda like a GUT PUNCH for the MART because right now none of the things you guys bragged about is happening.

Don`t give your opinion saying the 360 version looks better or you will lose some bubbles!

And though I was very aware that the graphics were not up to par with the PC, it looked good on th XBOX, and it had all of the PC content.

Bottom line, it is a great game - a classic, and not having the absolute "best graphics available" did not ruin it for me.

Now, the differences between the 360 and PS3 versions of Oblivion are negligible compared to HL2 on Xbox or PC. I just don't see how these can possibly affect your enjoyment of the game one way or the other. It is a beautiful game with a rich mood and tone - regardless of which version you choose.

If something was fundamentally broken in one version, it would be worth dicussing - but as it is? C'mon guys, there's bigger fish to fry.

Both of these consoles are awesome pieces of technology and Oblivion is an amazing game.
Everytime I see any games on either the PS3 or the XBox 360 I think back to the days when I'd go to the arcade and play Pacman, Qix, Galaga, or one of many games that had graphics that vaguely represented the object they were supposed to be.
Just buy the system that you like, I suggest looking at the library of games available for the console prior to purchase and pick the one that has the most games that you enjoy. In this day where exclusives are becoming rare it's not as big a deal but there still are some out there. Other than that there's basically the accessories. How you like the feel of the controller etc.

Just don't sit and spam that this console is the best or this console sucks. It's a waste of your energy and everyone elses time.

I don't know if its just me but correct me if am wrong, but most ps3 games seems to washed out compared to 360 games,360 games seem to be more colorful and vibrant with better lighting.

dont be fooled by the battle scene looking better on the ps3 because we all now that oblivion has a weather system and night and day cycles and the 360 version could have been later during the day or maybe a cloudier day, but one thing is for sure the more colorful the better and we can all see that the 360 is more saturated

the ps3 version looks in any aspect better. and in real it is even far more better (i mean without all the manipulation). its rediculous how xbox360 fanboy say, it looks the same, or they dont care, lol. motorstrom kicks everything away, best graphic ever, go buy a copy and you will believe me!

finally, ps3 has something that looks a little better than the xbox360 ver. but let's also not forget that that they had something that the xbox360 ver. didnt get, and that was more time to look at the things that could be improved upon but we all know that if they both had come out at the sametime that the xbox360 ver. would have won that one :/

download it and see for yourself. Besides, why are we comparing a version of a game that will be released a full year later than the previous version again?

PS3 looks better. The xbox version looks real good, but the PS3 version was sharper. Also that loading thing that popped up wasn't on the PS3 version making it the clear winner

I have to admit the ps3 version does look a bit better. A bit sharper and in a whole probably is the winner in terms of graphics. However this game came out last year. The people who had xbox played and finished this game a while ago. Now that it came out for the ps3 the ps3 lovers are bragging about how much better the game looks. Personally I would rather play the game a year earlier then wait to see barely noticable graphics. The kings eyes do look a bit odd on the ps3 version though. things like that i can care less about though.

I expected them to improve the graphics more with almost a year of work. The only thing I really noiced was that the PS3 had better textures in the distance (for example, when they're outside the sewers if you look at the opposite bank of the lake) and that a couple of the textures in the PD3 version were a little bit sharper (maybe more storage space on the disc?). That's dissapointing (though not for me because I already have the 360 version). I'm gonna go see if the patch actually does anything.

well this video is better than the screenshots taken from the video, but my 360 on my HD sure doesnt look blurry like their video does... still, admittedly, the textures are better on the ps3 as well as the loading, wow no skipping around while walking in the hills?

good job sony, you're 1/25, finally got a game on ps3 that looks at least as good (in this case better) than the same game on 360...

Its not sony that did the good job as much as it was Bethesda. the other 24 games you reffer to were all ports. See what happens when the developer codes the game for PS3. It looks better because the PS3 is a superior console

in the 360 version where there was a 5 second area loading moment with the pop-in, it looks exactly the same to me. Both chugged a little in certain areas, but not too much and it wasn't too noticeable. My opinion: why the hell am I and YOU people wasting time over this? If you have a ps3, you can now get (what everyone says, cuz I never really cared about this game, is) a great game like 360 and PC owners have enjoyed for the past year. Better late than never, right?

Now, back to watching those Ninja Gaiden Sigma videos. :)

they both look good too. Buying either one will only support Bethesda, which they deserve for making a very good game no matter what it's played on. Let's get to work on Elder Scroll 5.

Well, Bethesda just showed us how porting a game should be handled. Of course people just try to turn this into an inferiority test. Just like they did with EA titles.

You should be comparing EA to Bethesda this time around, not PlayStation 3 to Xbox 360. Both games look pretty close, you cant really prove one stronger than other. This is a software based comparison in many ways.

So the real comparison here should be about the developers, not systems. The only efficient way to compare two systems is to pick their best-exclusives and compare them.

is that a dev is working to make the best experience on BOTH consoles rather than do a simple port. For a company to go back and "fix" (using the term loosely for lack of a better one) says a lot about them. If there are graphical differences and devs have tried working through it then it could possible be the hardware capabilities of the given console versus codeing. All in all a great game for all.

And mart I do agree that in a lot of PS3 games I own the eyes in most characters tend to look waxy or fake. I noticed this in COD3 as well.
