Ah, Space Invaders, 411mania still remembers the arcade cabinets swallowing their quarters like they were cheesy-puffs in Cartman's mouth. Simple gameplay but difficult to master – had to love it. Now 30 years later, and after a DS and PSP version out in the wild, people now get the Xbox Live Arcade version. As you can imagine, the game keeps its core mechanics but throws in some extra touches, not to mention a shiny new paintjob that looks sweet.

Now, a decade later and with Space Invaders hitting its 40th anniversary, Space Invaders Extreme has been revived on PC. It’s roughly based on the Xbox 360 version but with a some major tweaks and quality-of-life enhancements.
