Andrew Weymes of The Nightly Gamer writes: "Last year at E3 2008, Microsoft had a relatively strong showing. Games such as Fable 2, Gears of War 2 and Resident Evil 5 were showcased and the biggest surprise of the entire event was revealed. Without the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII coming to the Xbox 360, Microsoft's entire showing may have been considered average. There weren't any surprises besides the announcement by Square Enix and while a multiplatform announcement shouldn't be the star of the show by any means, the alleged "betrayal" of Square Enix caused quite a bit controversy among the gaming community. Sony had a slightly better show last year by showcasing games such as Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm: Pacific Drift, DC Universe Online, MAG and of course, God of War III. However, both Sony and Microsoft were comparable at last years show with neither clearly being better than the other but one thing is for sure, Microsoft assuredly needs to reveal something special to compete with what is expected from Sony at this years E3."

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

The name "Hewson" carries a special weight for anyone who grew up during the golden age of British computing. Im confident something will be at e3 that people on xbox 360 will enjoy . Obviously i dont know what ,but i do know there will be something xbox 360 owners wont to play.....also multiplats FTW! :)
I think they will unveil the XBOX 720 for 2010 Holiday season, but most people don't want to hear that sort of news....
but it makes plenty of sense right now...
There won't be much of a first party showing. But there are tons of Multiplatform games this year.
Bioshock
Dragon age
Assassins creed 2
Overlord 2
Brutal legend etc, etc
A great life for a console gamer.
I wonder what they can announce that will cause such a splash like FF13 did at their E3 last year.Kingdom Hearts 3 Xbox 360 exclusive?I personally would not be surprised if that were the case,Microsoft are in need of games and Square Enix continue to make horrible decisions.I doubt Nomura would be in charge of it though.
I think LA.Noire will make its official gameplay debut at E3 this year,it's multi-platform so Microsoft will probably have the exclusive unveiling of the game at their conference.Another multi-platform game that will more than likely be unveiled exclusively at the Microsoft conference is Modern Warfare 2.
As for their first party,Halo ODST is guaranteed to make an appearance. We also know Lionhead have 2 projects in the works,so at the least I expect 1 of them to be shown.
I just dont know what to expect for MS this year really.
MS took a Huge "L" with Tales of vesperia.
Splinter Cell Conviction is pretty Much M.I.A for 09
Mass Effect is 2010
Alan wake will probably shown at E3 but the game will come out in 2010
Lost Planet will Be Multiplatform no doubt
If there is A Few BIG Exclusives for X360 shown at E3 I doubt theyll come out in 09.
So what's Left? Halo OSDT???? Thats not enough for me. I never Liked Halo Ever Since the 1st Xbox.
Where is Killer Instinc3 , Conker Bad FurDay , Blinxx ??? No more DLC please and more games MS.
