The Power Review: Japan has their RPGs, Europe has their RTSs, and USA has their shooters. But, why?

Remakes of the campaigns featured in Xbox Game Studios' Halo 2 and Halo 3 are currently in development, according to a new rumor.
That's Microsoft's gaming division for you...kill off developers making new ip while trying to capitalize off some long lost glory that has no hope of ever being what it once was thanks to recent decision making favoring unrealistic profit goals and greed. What a joke.
So what’s their solution to having multiplayer? Wait until Halo 7?
That was one of the most memorable parts of Halo..
Why not just port the MCC? 🤔 That was the easiest layup ever and you completely missed it
I wonder if Microsoft will port Reach over to Playstation I quite enjoyed that game. I played Halo 3 and it was not bad I have Halo 2 on the OG Xbox I just need some cables to hook up to my tv to play it.

A new Halo 3 mod turns the iconic Master Chief into a Pokémon % Master as functional Pokeballs come to the game.
That is very impressive to skip the article here is the direct link to the video

Full animiation then a code change to make the target that comes out of the ball to be in the same class unsc not a easy thing to do.

Not every Halo game has been a banger, but the franchise still has a raft of the greatest games of all time.
Infinite is a dumpster fire and as much as I like ODST, in no universe it ranks above Halo 2. This list is trash.
Best to worst: Halo 3, Halo 2, Halo Reach, Halo CE, Halo 4, Halo ODST, Halo Infinite, Halo 5.
not neccessarily true
killzone 2 did sell more in europe than they did in america afterall
I'm English and the FPS is my favourite genre. Guess I'm an exception to the rule then.
can lead to offensive assumptions, but marketing trends, like the FPS fascination, is at least based off of some viable evidence I suppose. As an American, I can vouch for fitting some of the pattern, though, RTS games and action-rpg's are equally up there for me, depends on the game. Even an average FPS is NO match for Red Alert or Zelda gaming.
I honestly think a good portion of these trends obviously has to do with the culture of the dev companies, most RPG's come out of Japan, many RTS's and racing titles come out of Europe, and a lot of shooters are pumped out of the US, of course there are exceptions all over the grid to this, but it's generally true, at least in my opinion. Each territory seems to create games that they themselves enjoy, as do their peers. Nothing wrong with diversity though, either, like Geurilla Games, Bioware, etc...and the likes, who defy this pattern, too....
I just love a good game, whether Miyamoto made it, or Santa Monica made it....
...and I generally hate FPS. They're too similar in gameplay from one to another, too simplistic in gameplay, and it generally seems to be the genre with the sh*ttiest plots.
I know some 17 year olds who say FPS is the best genre and they want to join the military ASAP so they can "kill people". They say it with the straightest faces and most serious tone of voice ever. I'm not kidding.
I just love the skill involved in FPS. CSS is still my crack. I even go back to 1.6 now and again.
