The story so far: Everyman Steve Wiebe has sent a videotape to Twin Galaxies arcade, the hub for recording classic arcade game high scores and world records, that claims to beat reigning Donkey Kong champion Billy Mitchell's score. Suspicious of this sudden challenge twenty years after Billy set the record, Billy sends his protege Brian Kuh to investigate Steve's machine.
Kuh takes along Twin Galaxies referee Perry Rodgers and despite Steve's wife telling them they'd have to wait for Steve to get home, he and Rodgers sneak into the garage and take apart Steve's machine to check for signs of cheating.
