Saint's Row multiplayer screenshots.

When you ask people what could be improved in the GTA series chances are they'll tell you they want a multiplayer mode. Saint's Row developers Volition agree and provide 6 multiplayer modes supporting 2 - 12 players for their upcoming free roaming title. Here are the first ever screenshots from Saint's Row's multiplayer mode.

This is my most wanted game for the summer, graphics looks good, i now the gameplay will be solid, online multi is where the action is.

This game looks great and i love the fresh ideas i'v read about this game, this is a must buy for me. Crack Down is another fresh idea and the games art style is fucin off the hook. Classic!!!

Nodoze7243d ago

According to the E3 06 trailer there are only 35 single player missions!? I cerrtainly hope this is not the case as GTA has hundreds of them! If this is the case, the multiplayer better be good!

FamoAmo7243d ago

This game originally didn't have any missions b/c it more of a free roaming do what you want kind of game but in the end they decided to include them for people that like to play them!! This game has alot more than Miisions to look forward too!! More freedom than GTA and hella more stuff to do (besides missions)!!

I must say that graphically they really polished this game up , ALOT! Early screenshots did not look promising now I am impressed. I can see this game trumping GTA only for the fact that if the gameplay is good people enjoy the level of customization you are afforded. In GTA you are a set character in Saints Row you can be whoever you want.

AWESOME, please have lagless online like halo 2.

GTA multiplayer, it's what we've all been waiting for.

I would be interested in a Saints Row 2 Remake.

Alos8861d ago

I would agree... if the old Volition was still around to do it.

I just started this game last night, just the player creation had me upset. You choose male but they stand like a female. Eyebrows are all effeminate, face, and verything seems to be modeled after a female with a thin male overlay.

I only played the opening and didn’t even complete that before I turned the game off. I will likely go back and try it again, but a very weird first impression.

Huey_My_D_Long61d ago

You sound super weak to be upset by a character creator ngl

ChunkyMonk61d ago

welcome to your average n4g daily user lol

chicken_in_the_corn62d ago

I'm not surprised after the backlash and hatred the last one got.

1nsomniac62d ago

The franchise has been complete utter garbage for almost 20 years. The first one was the only decent game of the lot of them.

Huey_My_D_Long61d ago

OMG Thank you! Never understood how people raved about Saints Row like it was GOATED.
Honestly Janky Generic feeling titles with Humor that tried to way too hard. People criticize Borderlands for its humor, but holy hell, still leagues better than any SR.

Kinda dumb they asked for his pitch then ghosted him, the concept sounded dope

Saints Row director is pitching a prequel that gets 'back to the roots of what made SR entertaining'

Somehow, Saints Row returned. Well, kind of. In a giddy post on the Saints Row subreddit, a lead on the original game in the Saints Row series announced that someone, somewhere might be interested in firing up Volition's (RIP) open-world crime games once more.

RaidenBlack174d ago

OR ...
remake the first one but 1:1, very minimal changes ~ QoL changes that are necessary or beneficial

PhillyDonJawn173d ago

If we wanted the same game we'd go play it.

Please not made in fortnite graphics by whiny petty developers who argue on twitter this time

Goodguy01174d ago

It always boggles my mind how developers like these get their hands on well known IPs and completely butcher it into a terrible mess.

YodaCracker173d ago

Twitter? I think you mean Bluesky.

Lexreborn2174d ago

My problem is I’ve played all of them but probably collectively an hour a piece for each. Never really got into them and always got them on discount. I wonder if that’s just the general consensus on this game. Because doesn’t feel like any of them are really worth it

JEECE174d ago

To me Saints Row is one of those series that got a foothold in people's minds because the first game was in the right place at the right time (I'd put Dead Rising in the same category). In 2006 when the original came out, people were desperate for new games to play on the 360, and people were not nearly as burnt out on open world games as they are now. So the first one filled a void and served as a showcase for a new console that people were very excited about at the time.

Lexreborn2174d ago

I think the funniest thing to me was the Pecker sword in 3 but overall 3 was a pretty terrible game. I tell myself I want to go back and retry the remake of each version and I just don't feel like taking it to 1080p is going to change a pretty mediocre game at it's core

ZycoFox174d ago

Get rid of the regenerating health, or only have a certain food type that regenerates health a bit. Regenerating health + food seems a bit much but just IMO.. I always found that a bit stupid.

1nsomniac174d ago

The first Saints Row was the only good game of the series.

Highly underrated GTA 5 rival is cheaper than a McDonald’s meal on Steam

The wait for GTA 6 is painful, but for less than $6 you can pass the time with the overhated Saints Row reboot on your Steam Deck right now.

This was free on something at some point, so I decided to check it out. It's definitely properly rated.

Here I thought I'd never have to be reminded of that slop again
