Wait for reviews?

Both look good in there own regard. Dunno. Seems June is getting pretty packed; inFamous, Prototype, Batman, Red Faction, and more.

Although they haven't announced a specific date for inFAMOUS yet have they? They just said it will be June, will maybe be the end of June imo.

I'm going for InFamous, just appeals to me more! Prototype just seems a bit wierd for me with all the splitting people apart and transforming and stuff...wierd!

Well, at least 360 owners don't have to make the choice between these 2 open world games. I don't think I could choose either if I had a PS3.

...so for me Infamous and Batman. I'll get prototype later. $120 for two games if I don't trade anything in isn't horrible but not great either. I'm optimistic all three games Infamous, Batman, and Prototype will be good games.

prototype seems a lot like Hulk, and destroy all humans. Just not my kind of game, but I'll wait for some reviews.

I'll be getting INFAMOUS first. Not only do I like the look of it more, but given such a 'close race' I'll usually tend to lean towards the exclusive as I expect it to be a bit more polished.
I'll get PROTOTYPE further down the line, maybe when it's cheaper.

I'm gonna buy Infamous, just because Prototype looks a lot like Destroy All Humans and Hulk Ultimate Destruction which were both fun but got old extremely fast. Infamous has a very nice karma system going on with cleaner graphics.

By the way, the ability to change into another person in Prototype is cool, but there is almost no fun reason to use it. EDIT: EXACTLY, NO "FUN REASON" TO USE IT. Unless you are doing missions, there is no reason to use it.

I guess i will get both on both platforms. inFamous seems to be a must-have while Prototype seems to be average, but it can't be worse than GTA IV in terms of no-fun value. So inFamous on PS3, Prototype on 360.

Though infamous has the graphical edge and both infamous and prototype have many gameplay similarities.. what I think sets them apart is prototype has more open world options where are infamous has a mission based structure in open world kinda like gta IV in a good way. rite now prototype has the edge for me.. but I will hopefully get both.

I think I'm gonna go with Infamous before I've even tried any of the games. Not only because I'm ignorant, but also because I'm an insecure PS3 owner who feels forced to choose exclusives over multiplat games. And because I know that the PS3 version won't be up to par with the 360 version, as usual.

anyway i think i'm going to with Infamous due to Prototype looking like a next-gen remake of Hulk:UD with poor graphics and shallow gameplay while Infamous sports and interesting multi-layered plot, deeper gameplay and much better visuals

yes i have a PS3 and not a 360... does that mean that if i favor an exclusive game over a multiplatform one, purely because it piques my interest more, that i'm a no-life Sony zealot troll? according to Soda it does

i guess im just gonna buy mutliplats from now on to gain some respect from Soda, and miss out on the better game from one of my favorite developers (Sucker Punch)

It's so easy to get them riled up.

I will be enjoying superior versions of Prototype, Fight Night Round 4, Brütal Legend, Borderlands, and all other multiplats you can think of.

I'm currently playing Mass Effect & Fallout 3, two games superior to everything released on the PS3. By superior I mean that they are actually fun to play, not just great to look at like some of your overhyped exclusives. And they last much longer as well. All thanks to the power of Blu-Ray lol!

But hey, keep polishing that InANUS turd.

well, all i will say is i am looking forward to it.

If you have both systems, there is no reason to not own both.

if you just own a ps3, you can always get the one that has the best reviews first, and then pick up the other later when its in the bargain bin, nice and cheap ! I think that is what i will do.

Why not getting both? If you have Resistance 2 you have no reason to buy Killzone 2? If you have Soul Calibur IV you have no reason to buy Street Fighter IV? If you have Pure you have no reason to buy Motorstorm 2?

inFamous and Prototype are maybe the same genre and release nearly the same time, you have no reason to avoid one of them, unless you are out of money. In that case you will pick the one that will have the best reviews or the one that makes your heart beats. Otherwise, if you like sandbox games, unless one of them is really lame, you have no reason to get both, otherwise it would be useless to own both systems.

what i said was " there is not reason for a person not to buy both games " they are two different games just in the same genre. some people my not be able to afford both at the same time. so i said you can get one first, then get the other later.

the trailer fro Prototype was awesome so far. And infamous just seems to dull so afr imho. Plus in Prototype you can hurl NPCs at helicopters, nuff said.

infamous looks nice but bland in other areas.

I don't feel either of the 2 games, have had enough coverage to get me sold on them yet... and the lack of coverage also has me worrying about the progress of the games and if they will be rushed last minute...

Infamous has had miles of more coverage than Prototype but I still don't think it's enough, I also have a feeling that the lack of coverage for Prototype... should have people that are interested in it, worried.

The devs behind the Infamous series also have a better track record than the ones doing Prototype... but I've never been a fan of either dev teams previous releases, maybe with these 2 games that might change. Both games are on my radar, just very low key!

Now another Crackdown game... god I need another 1!!!

Prototype looks like a cross between Hulk Ultimate Destruction and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, which were decent games.

inFamous looks like a mix between Sly Cooper and Marvel Comics. those that have played the Sly games know what i mean. the similarities between inFamous' gameplay and Sly Cooper is very obvious.

i like the comic book style of inFamous also. i've been waiting for a really good superhero video game, and have been disappointed for decades.

the fact that both inFamous and Prototype are hitting in the same month is a win/win for me, because often, the summer months are rather dry for game releases, and i'm sure both games will keep me busy for a while.

Im renting prototype. infamous has way more replayability, I mean good, evil, or both. prototype looks like hulk games where you just kill a lot of people all the time which gets boring. infamous looks better and is defientley a game to go in your gameing collection. prototype looks like your typical rental game. I think infamous will be like spiderman 2 but a lot better and do things spiderman 2 should of done to be epic. why do you think previewers of infamouse like it so much? Its becuase its probley the way above the lvl of the spiderman 2 game or has similaritys.
