GTA+HALO=System sellers

that would be pure console war ownage. if i was MS, i'd buy them.

Sony better play smart, they already lost a couple games, they would be smart to buy take two.

I was thinking it would be smart for Sony to buy Take-Two then they would get some nice praise and they are in need of that. But if TT games do become 360 only game MS really is smart.

Plus the PS3 has first party sports games and now the 360 would too.

I would like to play Amped again and if it was a first party game it could be really cool.

Plus if MS was to get a hold of Take-two BioShock would then never be able to be on the PS3 most likely it would have to be a sequel but still another great game the PS3 could never get there hands on.

I also think then the Civilization series could come out on the 360 also other then just being a PC game. So if could play Civilization on the 360 I am down with that.

Having Microsoft buy out TT would also help make Duke Nukem Forever come out sooner then it not coming out at all.

I really think that if MS was to buy them then Sony needs to do some thing fast or the PS3 will be dead before it did any thing.

If MS were to buy them, they would've done it last year *before* GTA4 was announced as cross-platform, not now that the stock price has doubled.

Sounds more like a pump-n-dump scheme to me.
Now, carving it up and selling off the pieces to different buyers...

Killer Instict was my favorite rare game besides donkey kong. Also if MS bought TT then Sony would miss out on a whole lot of games which could be very bad.

Microsoft wants to monopolize the gaming industry and if that requires the purchase of take-two and the Grand Theft Auto series then so be it.

It would be one of the biggest moves "ever"...and it would force all the 2k sports fans to buy the 360 and it would bring GTA exclusively to the 360....

The side of me that loves my 360 is like "That would be huge"

But the side that hopes the ps3 gets off the ground is like "Noooooo....that sucks big time"....

Sony fans would feel like 2k fans felt when EA monopolized Football. But this is on a larger scale. Or better yet...Sony fans would feel what dreamcast fans felt when EA wouldn't make games for their beloved system of choice. It was one of the Major things that killed the Dreamcast....

The outcome of this should be very interesting....But if it pans out....It will be a Huge Developement in this next gen era of gaming. WOW...

? am i the only one who DOESNT want this??? Seriously i love my xbox! but am getting worried. The Ps3 needs to be successful. Otherwise competition will cease and so will innovation. I deeply want Sony to buy up another exclusive just to even things out. After all, a brand new innovated home came from the PS3 panicking, as did the Wii and MS's Achievements and even Xbox LIVE.

MS or Sony buying TT would be fine by me. Hell, have them go 50/50 on it for all I care. I'll be able to play no matter what. Just keep EA's grubby mitts off of this.

ms should buy even if they want a more money now. one thing to remember is once you have the ip of tt you can do anything with it and you could sell them a long time from now for what you paid for it and make a ton more from someone else wanting to buy it. look at the comic movies out, what do you think things would be like without spiderman if marvel had tanked back in the 90's? ip is real big and needs to be scooped up. microsoft should just start now by buying up most if not all game makers and join with nintendo if they want to be the be-all game system maker and owner.

this would guarantee MS dominance in this generation. The GTA games are among top selling games of all time - INDIVIDUALLY - not as a series. - See the latest GI for reference.

Bottom line - the GTA games were one of the main reasons for the great success of the PS2 in the US. Mind you, I'm NOT saying that the PS2 would have failed without GTA - just that the over the top success can be attributed to the GTA games and their perceived initial total exclusivity and later the timed exclusivity.

GTA would not be an exclusive Take two are the publishers not the makers of the game, so Rockstar the makers of the game could just drop Take Two as the Publisher. Rockstar would want to sell more copys of the Game so i doubt it would want GTA to be on one games console. But good purchase if MS gets them, they are a developer aswell so good games could come out of it.

as much as the thought of GTA being an exclusive (I bought a PS2 to play GTA) makes me giggle, it will never happen. The development by now would be way to far ahead. And lets face it, its a BIG earner. They would possibly release on 360 first though.....

Hmmm... I don't think this would be a good buy for MS. buying Take-Two only buys GTA. This company is known for the franchise but outside of that what do they have? How much more milage does the GTA franchise have left? Take Two isn't really known for their developer quality if you know what I mean...

Now Capcom, THAT would be a stunning purchase.
