A trademark filing doesn't say they are or are not working on a Cloud PS. And excuse me if I am wrong but what the hell is wrong with the PSN? Sony never intended for PSN to survive beyond the PS3. Just like they didn't intend the PS2 online service.. wherever it was called to evolve and be use with the PS3.

PSN as you know it will probably be abandon with the PS4 comes out... just like Sony does with everything else. Emotion chip and other things.

PS4 will probably be cloud computer and PSN and everything in it will die.

This is very different from xbox live and microsoft strategy... where xbox live will continue to mature and grow and all existing features will be use and supported by the next xbox.

Both companies follow the same pattern. Sony always abandon technologies and features.. each platform starts from scratch forcing developers to start from square one... and all support like the PS2 online service to eventually die and be unsupported.

Yeah.. bla bla... lots of sony leg humpers say how Microsoft abandon the original xbox... and yet people can original xbox games online. unlike the PS2.. that even if Sony is still making money selling it.. it has 0 support for the online service.

Really. Very silly and very pointless. Why wouldn't Sony look into this WHILE they add to the PSN? Both their competitors will be-unless they're daft-so not to would be foolish, no?

I guess if MS were doing this(publicly) they'd beat on Sony for not doing it. the industry moves very fast and Sony have teams for things like this, a team for PSN anda team for Home among a host of others. LIKE ANY OTHER BIG COMPANY WOULD!D'oh!

Stop searching for excuses dumpas!es. I also have a PS3 but PSN compared to XBL is 3 years behind, thats just a fact.

SOny got so many GREAT news the whole last weeks and MS got NOTHING but STILL they sell 40k consoles more every week (= 160k every month) since the beginning of 2009. If Sony wont change anything MS will have sold 2 Million consoles more by the end of this year. And i dont even mention the cristmas time, where MS sold ALONE about 1 million units more than Sony.

I dont know why the PS3 is so lagging in sales. Ok they have now better sales in japan but in europe and especially the USA they STILL lag behing the 360.

All the exclusives, all the great games.. you can get a PS3 in the UK , Germany etc. for 299 euro but it doesnt moves any units for sony.

What's wrong with the PSN? I've noticed nothing wrong with it. It's free, it does what it is supposed to do, and it works well. What more do you want, 11,000 features you may never use? Isn't that a reason why people bashed the PS3 in the first place, because of all its features?

PSN is fine. They are just making it better and better over time.

Well, If you knew anything about software development you wouldn't make these stupid pod casts. It's not like some strategy games where you can just put more men in the construction of a building and it'll build faster. There is a limit to how many people you can put in a project and still having them to be effective. Also every developer can't do any kind of developing. There is a huge number of different areas, all requiring a certain expertise. Software development is an enormous field.
If you had ever been in a real software company you'd know that it's common to have a vast number of teams with their own projects going on.

I swear some people think that running a company is like playing Final Fantasy Tactics... Just switch a couple of jobs round whenever the need arises!

Just drag a few employees who work on PS Cloud on to PSN, because surely they will have the skills to knock up cross-game voice chat in an afternoon. And while they are at it, just grab a couple of secretaries to patch Party play in to Killzone 2!!!

I am a huge sony fan, since PSX first came out. I think the PSN is great, BUT...wtf...this long and still no fantastic catalog of classic PS1 titles?! this is blasphemous!!! they have a couple of great games on there like twisted metal 2 and Castlevania SOTN. Though there are WAAAAYY More!! It cant be that difficult can it? hell maybe they should even add trophies to old titles like FF7, FF8, Chrono Cross, RE2, ETC. Tell you one thing that is for sure, I would Pay MONIES for that shizite.

I hope they keep them coming. Seriously there a really funny joke.
