Mike Hartnett on Tawkn.com writes: "OK, listen, I applaud Sony for getting this Firmware update out the door and providing us with new features for our PS3s, but why oh why did they put out such a broken text chat system? Here are some issues that need to be addressed ASAP."

News just in from Gamescom - Ubisoft has renamed XBLA, PSN and PC title Project Dust to simply 'From Dust'.

Capcom are unveiling their next Bionic Commando 3D side-scrolling action game dubbed Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 at GamesCon.
Capcom have promised several improvements including a makeover on the 'bionic arm.'
This is GREAT news, overall.
This, along with Pixel Junk Monsters, was the best DD title of 08'.
Making over the bionic arm makes me nervous though.

Joystiq: "It's hard to judge just how well this gameplay works without a chance to try it out ourselves, but the concepts on display in this short hands-off demo have us pretty excited to play god when the game hits Xbox Live Arcade, PSN and Steam early next year."

im not a hater at the chat room, but this article is 100000000000000000000000000000 0000000000000000000000000000000 0000000000000000000000000000000 0000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000% correct
that I'm doubting that sony would intentionally release such a feature because its so pointless and just a waste of resources. Because of that I'm certain they will fix that current text chat problems and will add voice chat, hence why we see it present but is whited out.
New text chat is awesome, and you can tell in-game voice chat is coming- presumably, in a bigger update as the icon for it is there for use but grayed out whilst in game. I can also sort of understand the short character lock for the chat because you're not writing your life story out or anything. It's just for quick short texts like im'ing. I can live with or work around the censorship.
