Assuming you're willing to at least consider that commitment and take some time to learn about your various units and how to use them then Battleforge can offer a good return on that investment. With a mix of co-operative, singleplayer and multiplayer scenarios and a deep well of fiction to draw from, Battleforge hits all the right targets – but that doesn't mean that it's a game for everyone.
Theshigen writes "Battleforge was a rather novel idea. It combined collectable card game mechanics with real-time strategy, something new and fresh back in 2009. It's been re-released today as Skylords Reborn. A fan-made project that's made the gamer, completely free."
