IE8 is faster, but if you like Firefox, stick with it.

wtf

verb3k6261d ago (Edited 6261d ago )

It's PCAdvisor again!

MS under-table bucks?

Sangria6261d ago

That's not what will convince me to use IE8. I'm very fine with Firefox, and in case of emergency i can use Chrome. I use IE only for the sites that don't accept any other browsers (like some korean MMORPG sites or online antivirus scanners).

evilmonkey5016261d ago

that require ie, I use IE TAB. Works great. Its a good little add-on.

iHEARTboobs6260d ago

Yeah, i just discovered the IE tab. Good stuff.

I don't really know since I haven't used IE for like 5 years. If it still does have Active X controls. Have fun with tons of viruses.

We arent nerds, we just have an IQ high enough to understand more complex things than OMFG HALO ORGASM YEYEYHSYH

IE8 is milliseconds faster...until you do a couple firefox hacks. thats whats so great about FF, its open source and allows for a ton of changes. IE8 is a good step up but no where near FF in terms of speed AND usability.

edit: hey disagree fairies. care to explain your side of the story or are you too illiterate to argue so just pushing disagree will suffice?

evilmonkey5016261d ago

doesn't make them right. It just makes them ignorant. I'm with you on this one. bubblz

Sangria6261d ago

Whoever would praise IE over Firefox or Google Chrome is just dumb ignorant.
You can easily use Fasterfox extension, for example, to get sites quicker, without necessarily having to mess up with servers.

SiLeNt KNighT6261d ago (Edited 6261d ago )

haha yeah you guys are right, i just like to hear the reasoning behind their 'theories'. These are the same people that have a virus three times a year.

bubbles+ for all.

Fox016261d ago

Well I guess it's time to move on; I've been using Firefox for almost a year now coz it was the fastest web browser I knew about. But since IE is back in the game I guess I'll have to go back to using it.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing21d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9221d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit21d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing21d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9221d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
