yeah this is another example of why I think its better if CONTRIBUTORS stick to the guidelines that are part of the test and only change the headline so that it makes sense when read on N4G because once we start totally editing them then we will end up with misleading headlines such as this. The original source is titled "Top 100 Games", which I think means the top 100 most "searched" games on IGN, which is of course a big difference from being the most "anticipated" games in order of their anticipation.

Now I will admit that "searches" are an indication of interest but it doesn't neccessarily equal anticipation/popularity or sales because searches for a game are obviously done to gather more info on a particular game but once the information is obtained that doesn't mean that person will like or actually buy that game....hell I can't count how many times I've searched a game I know I won't buy, but I needed some info about the game for one reason or another. -However thats not the norm, and just the fact that 360 games are heavily searched on IGN is overall good news for M$.

I don't think so. Ninja Gaiden Sigma at 87, no way. I didn't think Two Worlds would be that high, but that's one I hope gets a release soon.

Do you even understand why those are the most viewed and posted about? It's because their the most CONTROVERSIAL, not because they're the most important or desired games. Killzone's a joke first of all because they've given no proof of it being a good game, just a CGI trailer. But people still fool themselves into believing it will be amazing so there's huge debates. That's just an example, I'm not going to go down the list.

Also, this IGN list depends GREATLY on how many people have or want the console mentioned. Most have or want a 360 so it's the highest, than the wii, than the PS3. Using a website like this for reference is hilariously unsubstantiated. A lot of people just won't fully understand these IGN numbers fairly for what their worth. People here automatically think that this is a gauge showing which games are better...WRONG.

So bottomline is that PS3 doesn't have the installed base or the high demand to get "hits" on IGN's website or others. Ignoring this only hurts you.

This is a great list, but i'm not sure about this, i mean, i think somebody made this up or some like that, because MSG 4 #19 on that list c'mon now, this games is going to be great and is going to be better than some of those games on the list below. u know what i'm saying? HALO 3 #1 and MASS EFECT #3, i know they should be there, but MGS 4 #19 on the list, it should be #5 or some like that, that's y i think somebody made that s!!# up.

such as GTA:IV and RE 5 etc. i dont understand why people are thinking that like 70% is 360 excluse games.
and also, DEF JAM? that high? how can that many people search for def jam?

Things like killzone won't have any hits since the game has had virtually no information or screens released about it since E3 2 years ago. This is going to affect the hits the game gets on that site.

This list is lame. More people have 360's. Of course more people will generate hits for 360 games. Nintendo games are for youth. Most 8 year olds don't come on to IGN and look for information. That's going to affect the console also. This is statistically flawed. Anyone who's taken a university level course should know this. The draw data is absolute garbage.

I think the survey is too early for PS3.

why do they have all the halo 3 packs on there??? why didnt they just put one they are all basically the same game with added bonus like that helmet.

But I would've made some big rearrangements. I know its based on searches and doesn't mean which game is better but just assuming it wasn't based on searches I would've changed the order up.

These games are the most viewed games at IGN, so this list = most anticipated titles, XBox360 is at the top cause there are a lot more Xbox360 players out there at the moment than any other next-gen console and thats why Xbox360 games is at the top

What is wrong with you guys. Oh... I know... Your sad. It is O.K. Acceptance is the 1st step in recovery. The 360 versions of the games are going to sell better and from its current track record play better too. So that is why they are higher on the list. Good times people this is what it is about.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
