We will have to see if prototype can fit together all this action and not make it repetitive, honestly, this game looks like Hulk Ultimate Destruction and Destroy All Humans which both got repetitive fast because the storyline and reason to keep playing was not there.

Gameplay wise, Prototype beats Infamous.

Infamous does not really offer anything close to the gameplay of Prototype. I know what I'll be buying come this summer. So many of you doubt what Radical Entertainment can do. I don't expect to see the same response come this summer that's for sure.

The only reason I can see prototype being so popular is the gore factor and the destruction. His power seem way to overpowered considered what's been shown, and even if they do introduce equal enemies, most of the higher tier moves will be rendered useless, kinda like their hulk game. I have no doubt the game will be fun, but really, for how long? I'm sure people are sick of hearing this, but infamous is looking like the more focused game at the moment.

Ok that trailer was much better than anything I have previously seen for this game and it has made me anticipate it's release a fair bit more. Everything I've sene previously looks so unpolished but this looked great.

to own. But to everyone to say is not about graphics theres something wrong here. This is the New era in gaming and all games should look good and fun, But graphics should always be important. If i wanted last gen graphics i would buy games for my PS2, You guys seem to forget that you paid $399.99 to 599.99 for your consoles. Now think about it this way if you bought a BMW or Mercedez Benz, would you be happy if it only drive at 5MPH on the highway when everyone else is goin at 65MPH would you be happy knowing that you spend $45 Grand on you car just so it can peform at an oldy car speed? Being a sole ps3 owner,I can say that this looks like it could be alot more fun than INfamous.

Infamous seems more organized and put together.

i wouldnt buy it because its a sanbox title but, Ill borrow my friends versions though, Infamous better watch out.

The world looks relatively plain, the graphics aren't terribly detailed, and the animations are short & choppy to say the least. In terms of technology, InFamous is looking way better. In terms of level designs for the parkour-based gameplay, InFamous is in the lead, hands down (Prototype doesn't look like any inch of it was designed with parkour in mind, it's just a bunch of flat surfaces and they gave you the ability to run up walls and jump really high... not quite the same as the parkour abilities and platforming interaction you have in InFamous).

But, the shape-shifting gameplay is unique and really cool. While I'm not impressed with the world designs, graphics, or animation, and I've seen absolutely no evidence that it could have a good story, the gameplay still looks very, very fun. We'll see what happens with this and InFamous in June. I, for one, can't wait!

Spiderman 2/Hulk clone in disguise. This game will be so repedative its going to wear off pretty quickly.

The graphics look like trash compared to games today.

The collision detection and interaction within the environments have no polish(take a look at Prince of persia or assasins creed).

Seeing this trailer basically tells me this game will never get a 9.0 on like GT or GS, idk aobut IGN they're morons.

now i do believe they can co exist, although my wallet disagrees, i think ill get infamous cuz first party games usually turn out a level higher than multiplats. but after this, theres no denying it has serious competition, that video was awesome and theyre neck an neck to me at this point. but i feel like sometimes Alex is a little too omnipotent.

Wow..I remember the video when this game was early in development and thought it looked good then. But HOLY mother..this game is going to be nuts. Fave reason from video...PWN EVERYTHING. I absolutely loved Crackdown and that game is still an amazing achievement considering you could play it in co-op as well. But, this guy makes Hulk from Ultimate destruction look feeble.

Bottomline: I'm sold..adding this to Day-one Must Buy list.

Nope the bottomline is we had the magnificent 'Crackdown' a year and a half ago and if it wasn't for THAT game there would be no Infamous or Protoype. We've seen the footage..I'll take the ridiculous powers of Prototype over electricity boy ANY day. We don't need two..we just need the best. IGN hyping the game doesnt move me. So enjoy it..and umm..welcome to 2007!
