I remeber Wild Arms 4 & 5, Ar Tonelico, Ar,Tonelico 2, FF X, Rouge Galaxy were my fav e I enjoyed them and I played alot of RPGs on the PS2 the only thing memorable about FF12 was the fact it showed Square going downhill.

For me it's gotta be Persona 3.

Final Fantasy X was absolutely epic, the story was amazing.

Final Fantasy IX was equally as wonderful.

I'm currently playing Dark Cloud (yes, the 1st one), on my PS3. While it shows it ages nearly 10 years later. There is quite a memorable scene in it that I won't soon forgot. If you have played it and recall the manner in which the psychic lady tells you your fortune. That turned the whole sweet story on its ear.

I like how "most memorable" is somehow related to what sold hand over fist whether it was great or not. Dark Cloud 2 was fantastic and both Persona 3 and Person 4 were as well.

People really liked FFX that much? I thought it was pretty sub-par. To each their own tho. :)

Edit: I did like the game, loved it. The first was a game game and I loved the combat but the story did nothing for me and 2 was even worse in that area.

Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Legendia, Grandia II [even though it's better on DC], Shadow Hearts/Covenant, FFX was good as well. I'll have to say Abyss was my favorite

Oh not at all.
As I said in my edit I really enjoyed Kingdom hearts, I thought the first was very good but I felt it lacked a bit in story but I did enjoy the ending and I'd put KH above quite a few RPGs on the PS2. Heh, I like old Disney so that was never a problem for me.

I really didn't like 2 all that much but I still need to play CoM. I also look forward to KH3 but I have a bad feeling it's going to end up on the Wii with bad motion controls. I'm really looking forward to the KH game on the PSP, that just looks like it's going to be good.

but anyways i rember the ending to KH1 still i felt like crying so i never overwrote my save on the PS2 when finsishing the game. i played the game 20 after that to find all of the hidden stuff

i think for me it was rouge galaxy, then again it was the last ps2 rpg i played while i was waiting for more ps3 games to come out.

Ummmm I'm pretty sure the PSX was the ultimate console for JRPGs....Ps2 actually didn't have s*** compared to the PSX, in terms of quantity and quality of RPGs being released.

PSX was the peak of the JRPG era, and it slowed down on PS2.

Blasphemy if anyone else scream another game or some MMO on console, that is not on-line....lol

Too bad Namco sold Monolith to Nintendo.

KH is my best game of all time

For me it's Persona 3. While there are other RPGs better than P3 like Nocturne for example, I just can't deny how unique and entertaining Persona 3 was. The game made a huge jump from the previous series; it took me by surprise.
