
Learning from Legends was the title of this morning's GDC panel with industry legends David Crane and Steve Cartwright, both celebrated game makers with hits to their credit like Pitfall! and Freeway for the Atari 2600. Crane is a co-founder of Activision and the creator of Pitfall!, a game that is credited as the very first platformer. Cartwright is known for a host of games including the classic shooter Megamania. Both men are still active in the industry. Crane founded Skyworks, a casual game developer that currently has several iPhone games on the App Store. Cartwright is currently involved with Slipgate Ironworks.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
