Reading the interview, Alan Wake looks like a bit Bart's Nightmare on Genesis / Megadrive. Of course, the games themselves are different but in the principle, Alan Wake is a game where we have a writer that lost what he wrote and will cross different episodes where the gameplay is also different.

In Bart's Nightmare, Bart lost his homework and must find them back in his dreams, crossing different episodes with different gameplays.
As the game is story-based, i wonder how 360 fanboys will react to see dialogs and cinematics, whereas they were spitting on Metal Gear Solid 4, "it's a movie not a game".

I'm very intrigued by that use of light in gameplay and if the game looks good, it will probably be a day-one buy for me. I'm very impatient to see more.

im dying for a a quick gameplay teaser or something. keeping a game like this under wraps when people know about it generates some unwanted hype and if the game fails to deliver it will get slammed and the devs are gonna defend it saying the media is too harsh. we've seen it happen before. yea i know this is remedy and they made max payne but silicon knights made too human and free radical made haze and we all know how those turned out. dont show too much tho, re5 was already spoiled for me because capcom decided to show the whole game in their trailers :p

just don't understand why they're still reluctant to give out info about this game when it's been in development for so long, for the sake of everyone getting hyped for it, i really hope it delivers, then again no1 knows exactly what they are getting hyped about...

well that was a good interview. i thought remedy was going talk about when its release ,and sadly no tralier at gdc.but at least remedy said soon.

Ok people make up your mind already lol. First you cant wait to see stuff and play a game, but as soon as its released you whine that they should have delayed it longer to do this and that, like Gears 2. Either shut up and wait for it so they can do it right or you want them to rush and make it suck? Honestly you waited 5-7 years already whats another one going to do. i personally like this approach it sucks but heck in the end it should be worth it.

I like how this game might turn out too be the 360"s Killzone. Years of hype and then it will come out and be either garbage or a Silent Hill 2 rip-off but will be praised cause it's on the 360. FAIL

Why waste money on a game where Alan Wake isn’t in it for a good part of the game. Also, since you don’t own the game and they can cut you off at anytime why would you buy that many. Unless she was going to resell them for a profit, charity give away, or something like that.
