wonder when/ if eu get the beta. chances are when the final product is released there will be a big delay for other countries

FlameBaitGod6269d ago

If this works out.... this means the PS,N & M$ will die ?

kewlkat0076269d ago (Edited 6269d ago )

Anyone signing up...

Canidae6269d ago (Edited 6269d ago )

I just signed up, and got my confirmation e-mail, so I'll see. While I don't really see this succeeding, I'm willing to give it a try, if for nothing else than to be able to play PC games my system can't run. Who knows, it might just be the next big step, stranger things have happened.

darx6269d ago

Hopefully I am one of the lucky ones.

nutcase4u6269d ago

Figured I would give it a try. If it's not too expensive and it works well then it has potential to be a nice addition to my PS3.

In case there are fanboys that want to hit "disagree" just because I said "PS3", I occasionally play my brother's 360 when I'm at his house. whew..

emazzuca6269d ago

No Canadian Love?

give me a break

deepio6269d ago

No UK love either dammit!

claney6269d ago

No AUS Love either...

...but i knew it would happen

silvacrest6269d ago

same old, same old

everyone else gets ignored as usual

ZombieButcher6269d ago

Its not that they are ignoring you all, The company is US based and they want to set up 4-5 Locations localy to see if it takes off. Keep the cost low so if it fails they don't bury them selves in huge debt.

And Yes I signed up.

uie4rhig6269d ago

we were gonna invest in this when we had a proper company setup (getting money from other stuff)
but i guess we will see if this was a good idea or not without getting us into debts

US only?
how about having a beta in a country with decent internet broadband?
they are setting themselves up for fail.

Daoshai6269d ago

Though Obama is giving broadband in America the largest overhaul anywhere in the world, each state is given hundreds of millions to billions of dollars, so I don't really think anyone in the US will have to worry by the time onlive comes around

DeadlyFire6269d ago

Obama's broadband plan is still few years off though. Even while its in action right now it will take 1-5 years before progress is seen. My area just got a boost before Obama's broadband plan came about.

The U.S. is usually always first for anything like this.

Next ‘BioShock’ Game Changes Leaders After Development Turmoil

The fourth game in the ‘BioShock’ series has been in development for more than a decade

Bioshock is one of my favourites franchises. I love all 3 games and have played each several times. I even have a room in my house that is loosely decorated around the theme of Bioshock (with a Lighthouse, coral models and postcards styled as though they are from both Rapture and Columbus).

And yet I am going to find it extremely difficult to get even remotely excited about any future episode in the series after all the problems this has had in its development cycle.

Leave the franchise alone. Remaster them again if you have to. Then put whatever talent you have to use on something brand new.

Furesis295d ago

Since ken levine isn't involved i'm not surprised what's going on. i'm more excited for his next game which looks like bioshock. Yet he still works under take2 and they are making bioshock 4 without him, strange situation.

toxic-inferno295d ago

Yes. Judas. Looks brilliant, but it's one of those games that seems to never have had a release date. Instead it's had release windows that keep getting pushed back.

Once it's ready, I'll be there for it though. Ken Levine is an excellent developer.

I get the feeling he dissolved Irrational Games simply so that 2k couldn't tell him what to do. It seems it will pay off, but I feel sorry for those who worked as part of Irrational before it was dissolved, who hadn't independently made a name for themselves.

ActualWhiteMan294d ago

He didn’t even want to make 2, that’s why they did it without him.

Rebel_Scum294d ago

tbh it wouldnt be a Bioshock game without development hell. They all had it.

Michiel1989294d ago

bioshock 2 was 2.5 years after 1, so much of a development hell it was......

-Foxtrot294d ago

"Remaster them again if you have to"

Well apparently they were doing a remake but that got cancelled

Relientk77294d ago

It sucks this game is in development hell because I love BioShock and would love a 4th game. I hope it turns out great, but I guess we'll see.

P_Bomb294d ago

Love Bioshock. It’s too bad what’s going on. At least we have Judas.

Yui_Suzumiya294d ago (Edited 294d ago )

It's been in development hell since 2014. This is nothing new. It saddens me because it's one of my favorite series. At this point, Judas may end up releasing first.

BABI-PANGPANG294d ago

Bioshock 4 (if it ever comes out) will probably still look and play like a Bioshock game, but without Kevin, it might miss that spark that made the originals so special. Honestly, Judas might end up feeling more like the real spiritual successor.

Playing it right now looks amazing! :D
so much fun, i hope they make a vr mod for crysis 2 / 3 too!

DivineHand125483d ago

This is amazing. This is the direction VR should go in to boost adoption. Since I have beaten every Crysis except 1, this is now a good excuse to correct that problem.

Crytek Wanted Crysis To Be "Future-Proof"

According to Crytek CEO Cervat Yerli, "I want[ed] to make sure Crysis does not age, that [it] is future proofed, meaning that if I played it three years from now, it should look better than today." Yerli and the team designed Crysis' highest graphical settings for the PC hardware of 2010 and beyond.

While Crytek has officially announced Crysis 4 is in development, nothing new has surfaced. For now, gamers' only way to scratch that itch is to play the Crysis Remastered Trilogy available on PC and consoles.

OG 2007 Crysis (not the remastered weirdo), is & will forever be a legend amongst the PC community.

PrinceOfAnger488d ago

This video will always be impressive to me, even for years to come. Some things here are better than games we have today, OG crysis is the best version!

RaidenBlack488d ago

OG Crysis physics, man ... amazing! Thanks for the reminder!

PrinceOfAnger487d ago (Edited 487d ago )

Looks really nice with VR mod too

FinalFantasyFanatic488d ago

I'm still shocked that it looks as good as it does today, puts some modern games to shame.

Profchaos487d ago

I thought the remaster was fine tbh some rough edges at launch but after some patches it's decent

isarai488d ago

I mean the lighting and physics still hold up extremely well. I still revisit it from time to time.

RedDeadLB488d ago

That CPU performance thing is preventing it.

isarai487d ago

Yeah unfortunately Crystek's decision to bet on the linear progression of clock speed in CPUs was derailed by the unforseen shift towards multicore CPUs. It just wasn't built with that in mind because that wasn't even in the conversation at the moment

DivineHand125487d ago

I remember when I tried to play Crysis with my Intel Pentium Dual core E2200 @2.2GHz , 4GB ram and GeForce 9400gt. I was a kid back then and that was the best I could do. I would get about 15 to 20 fps. When I over clocked the CPU to 2.8GHz I would get about 40fps. The experience wasn't good at all and it was the only PC game I could not run back then unless and put the settings on low. At that point the game went from cutting edge graphics to PS2 graphics. To this day I haven't completed the OG Crysis. I was able to complete Crysis 2 and 3 after building a new PC when I got my first job.

HyperMoused487d ago

Never played it, worth a try you think?

Profchaos487d ago (Edited 487d ago )

Worth a try just because it's the only game that lets you pick up a turtle on the beach and throw it at enemy soldiers that should have been a back of the box feature.

But nah seriously unless you're nostalgic for it I'm not sure if it will hold up
