Here is a complete working Pandora console

Here is a quick and much requested video of the white Pandora which was built a few days ago. It is the first fully working, portable, near final unit.

Heck yes! I can't wait for the Pandora's launch!

Awesome, i myself pre ordered a Gpx2 Wizz, which should launch in April as well, just like the Pandora.

I hope the homebrew game scene will become bigger then ever with the coming launch of the Pandora and the Gpx2 Wizz.
Both handhelds are pretty powerful (about 2 x the power of a psp), and both run linux, so software should be portable between the two handhelds.

I cant wait :D :D :D.

Only two times the power of the PSP and at the same time running linux? Well that right there isn't enough to compete with graphics on the PSP, IMO.

Hardware wise, the Wiz got a 500 mhz processor and 64 mb of ram which is about 2 x what the psp brings to the table.

Linux doesnt make a computer more powerful, it just uses less recourses.

Mind you that the wiz is just as strong as a pentium3 desktop computer.
The Pandora is about 10 % stronger then the Wiz.

And it doesnt compete with the psp on graphics, this is a homebrew handheld, however, the Wiz and the Pandora should easily be capable of running older pc games like Quake 2 and unreal, and possibly even emulating N64 roms.

I dont see the psp doing that.

Its raw power was pretty fast, without acceleration it was running Quake3 if im not mistaken.

Also you can overclock the system to 900Mhz( and beyond?..dunno).

PSP can run N64, im sure of it, the problem is that its hard to build an emulator engine that makes good use of a system since you need to take 2 different CPU's into count. And stuff like that.

Also Pandora runs Quake 2 with ease...like i said it runs Quake 3 XD.

So which one do you guys think is better? I am a fan of open-source apps and games too and I'm maybe thinking about getting one instead of waiting for the new PSP, which may be unhackable. I'd get the GP2x but I really dislike the overall design. I do love the OLED screen and design though. Right now, I'm leaning towards the Pandora because of its clamshell design but it does look clumsy and pretty big.
