
Power Challenge, a leader in delivering multi-player and management sports games over the web, has appointed former Double Fusion and Electronic Arts executive Frank Sagnier CEO. Power Challenge's flagship game, Power Soccer (http://www.powerchallenge.com) is a web-based console-quality multi-player soccer game.
As VP Online Publishing, Mr. Sagnier launched casual game service Pogo in Europe, built new revenue streams including digital distribution and in-game advertising as well as developed new free-to-play initiatives such as FIFA online.
"I'm very excited with the Power Challenge opportunity," said Mr. Sagnier. "We have a very unique, high-quality in browser soccer game, a number of amazing partnerships such FOX Sports, Miniclip and Spill Group, all contributing to a fast growing consumer base and revenues coming from a mix of subscriptions, item sales and advertising."

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.
it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.
This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
