the king of Consoles rolls along quietly without much fanfare. It's quite reasonable to think so since this is a marathon as so many of you are quick to point out. Heck the PSP, PS3, and PS2 sales are all doing well according to the report (the 360 sold 46 units last week?? Is that accurate - Ouch). Of course the 360 should be selling better in America - hell its the host country, but it's sucking tailpipe in the Orient and the increased sales of the PS3 in Japan only point to the fat that a good software lineup (which there still a long way to go) can really boost sales when it seems like things are going static.

Bladestar's constant hatred of the PS3 and attempts to demonstrate (360 besting at every pat and turn) shows where his mentatlity is even before the conversation begins. I just wanna know how you're going to combat HOME and Little Big Planet because these two things alone have brought SNE back into the minds of people that had strayed from last generation to now? Do you really still believe that the King of Consoles will still lag behind and 'suck' just because you say so? What were you looking for at the GDC -- More of S.oon O.nly N.ot Y.et talk from your favorite whipping boy or solid innovation and creativity that has people's heads dizzy and some of us talking about a stupid racing game? I guess they hate to disappoint. Keep up the good work! =]

Being that the PS3 has only been out for 4 months, competing against the Strong 2nd half showing of the 360, the highly popular Wii, Not releasing yet in Europe, and costing a bundle in cash, I think it's doing fairly well.

It would appear that many thought that the PS3 would replace the 360 or any other gaming machine. I suppose Sonyfanboys probably hyped that up. Personally, I think the PS3 is a technological marvel and a very agressive device to bring people into new technology all around.

I like my 360 and think it has some fun games but it doesn't give me that "I wonder what's under the hood" feeling." I know some may disagree but I still think it was worth the $400 bucks. For those who missed Kameo, pick it up.

Everyone talks about the PS3 potential (or lack there of from fanboys) and I think that the idea that the Cell is not even close to being utilized efficiently or correctly should delight any true gamer regardless of your allegiance. It will only force MS to perhaps take a chance on their next system which, as gamers, is what we should want. Every platform should push the envelope of gaming (ie the Wii remote). It's a benefit for us all.

Right now I could really care less which console sells more, especially in Japan. All I know is that people are going to take the XBox brand seriousaly this generation, which means good things for me and every other smart person who bought one. As for the people who bought a PS3... I hope you enjoy it. I know I won't be anytime soon.

the 360 sales in Japan are terrible. If MS wants to stay in this market, then they need to be bring out games the Japanese gamers like.

Though I will say I do see a good number playing Lost Planet. Most of the online multiplayer leaderboards are dominated still by the Japanese.

From what I hear Japanese love the Ipod and that's an American product that has Japanese competitors. Not saying that it's easy but it is possible.
