I was amazed by this interview. It's really good. If everything they're planning for really is possible and easily accessible we could be seeing this technology in our future for sure.

I'd like to see it in action before I can believe everything he's stated but wow.. I'm shocked.

Mindboggle6243d ago

Well this will never catch on in UK....Yet. For a start the country average line is like 2 meg, which is like 512kb/s. Thats what I get, so its not even possible for me....I dont think.

if they advertise this thing like they advertise the magic jack it will catch on for sure. it will have ALL 360 exclusives because they are all on pc anyways. I know it would never happen but if they could some how get access to ps3 games like Kz2, MGS4, GT5, Uncharted this thing would THEN be amazing. regardless, its a great concept if everything he says is true. running any game on its highest resolution from my laptop from anywhere with high speed internet would be great.

lord_of_balrogs6243d ago

Well this pretty much destroys the fact that some people on the IGN article thought this was an April's Fools joke considering GT is now reporting this news. What I really want to know is how come we've heard nothing of this before. Furthermore, will this support mods?

omg i have no words thats amazing

I guess download content is the future then. I see this service taking away sales from PS3 and X360.

kiikoooo6243d ago

imo the ps3 is more safe than the xbox from this service due to the far more superior exclusive lineup.. Thats just my opinion

GMR_PR6243d ago (Edited 6243d ago )

Agree. If this service become popular, the only thing that could save the consoles is their exclusives and PS3 is really strong in that department. I dont care as long i play the games i love.

Mindboggle6243d ago

I totally agree. System selling games like, Gran Turismo, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, God of War, MGS, Killzone, LBP etc etc Will never appear on OnLive...

"Be creative 99% of the time" – Glen Schofield on how creativity can help fix AAA industry woes

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

Scissorman9d ago

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
