IO Interactive's latest game has the sort of visual style that you'd expect from a Pixar film, and the characters are proportioned in a way that makes them look like their deadly real-life counterparts but also appear impossibly cute and cuddly. That's why it's such a surprise when one of them grabs a samurai sword and starts chopping like a maniac.
In fact, the little guy doing the majority of the chopping goes by the name of Hiro; he's the small one dressed in black. The reason why Hiro has become a bit stab-happy recently is because an evil magical enchantment has surrounded his once-peaceful land and turned all the little woodland critters into evil samurai.

Edgar writes: "Let's don stylish kimonos and travel back to Edo-era Japan -- 2009, to be precise -- and find out what made Mini Ninjas resonate with players of all ages."
This game always reminded me of I-Ninja a platformer game that came out back in the PS2/OG Xbox days kinda wish that game got a remaster.
