To me it's simple... Chrome may be faster, but Firefox + add-ons make my browsing experience more effective and efficient.

Until Chrome matches the features I can add to Firefox I won't change.

Plus the latest FF beta's are said to be a lot faster.

Firefox is a great web browser, to say that it is "already dead" is just the stupidest thing I have read in quite a while. Chrome, is "OK" and it still needs some work to be as feature complete as FF. but, there is plenty of room for browsers that follow or at least are working toward implementing standards properly.

Firefox isn't dead. Just because one or two browsers are now faster than Firefox doesn't mean anything. Its not like they are that much faster either. Maybe a second or so. Either way. Its not much. Its not like its 5 minutes.

I have to disagree. Yes a lot of people are using chrome, but many of them used IE before. Some might have used FF, but most that used FF was more than satisfied with it.

It's a fast browser. Faster than Firefox. But my satisfaction doesn't sway with speed alone. If Chrome can steal away some of my favourite addons while maintaining that superior alacrity maybe I'll consider switching.

that article sucked, i've ben using firefox for bout 5 years and never even think about using ie or any other browser...easy interface...FAST!!!!!, and awsome add ons, love it.

Opera was the best browser for a while, however FF3 is actually better, more stable in particular.

Doesn't seem to matter what I try, I still prefer Firefox over anything else. The extra speed doesn't sway, especially when the next major update comes out for FireFox.

Chrome is my browser of choice, love the slick look and search/address combo bar.

Opera is quite possibly the fastest browser I've ever used, but I went back to Firefox several months later, just for its superior library of add-ons.

I haven't tried Chrome since it was in the early beta stage, so I'm not sure how it holds up now.

There are fixes to reduce the response of Firefox to 0 ms thus making it faster then Chrome and the fastest browser you can ever have.

I don't think Firefox is going anywhere. When I was in college, my school even had Firefox as the default browser campus-wide. I highly doubt Chrome has seen enough exposure or had enough success to be on the radar as a replacement for Firefox; personally I haven't even tried it as I don't fix what isn't broken (Firefox). That said, the latest version of Firefox crashes daily for me...at least it saves my tabs lol.

I am a total Chrome fan, we are talking google here, and at this point in time who is more inovative than them, not to mention

FIRE FOX and IE are in major forms, Chrome in a very early stage can compete so assuming at this rate how strong they will be on a final build and so on.

Chrome is the way to go.

I prefer a browser with better W3C support. Firefox is pretty much doing a great job at it.

I like my firefox. I tried google chrome it is a tad bit faster and the layout is close to firefox but firefox is safer. Another reason I prefer firefox over chrome is when I'm downloading something from the internet, firefox puts it in a different window while google chrome keeps it in the same window, so if you accidently exit out of chrome, your file that you were downloading would be gone and you would have to start it over again.

Chrome, to me, would be like Internet Explorer, a back to Firefox. I only keep IE for compatibilty with Hotmail. It's never opened unless it's a direct click from Live messenger.

firefox is pretty good its not dead. but safari 4 on my computer is faster for alot of things.

Chrome is great if I'm at a random computer, but I usually use Flock instead of Firefox 3. (A social media-oriented browser based off of Firefox 3)

If Firefox wasn't the best then why do the other browsers copy their ideas and use them for their own?
