Home does not come any better

LusoGamer said: "PlayStation Home to the criticisms are not new and since its last release. The players and users of the service, or at least most of them are not satisfied with the little extras and fun provided. And why are not surprised that the numbers Peter Dille, Vice President of Marketing of Sony, revealed in an interview".

If that is true, then it sucks!

These repot is one of the most stupid thing ive read ... ok

like some people know around these site ( ape007 rockleex and a few others with more than 7 bubbles ) i know a few things and wen i talk im not just saying sh!t ( like gaming journalism & fan bois )

Home is far from what people see right now home is really big ( in scale and in alot more ) is a place that people in the upcoming months are going to love to go to even if its to play some poker pool arcades ( from company ) that u may like ..

and people that read THESE BULL SH!T JOURNALISM and agree with it are (sorry if it hurts any one ) DUMB FUKERS that know nothing about the way industry they SAY they love ..

the point of what i just said is to let who ever cares know homes is coming soon with things that people jaw are going to drop thats as far as il go with that .. NEXT and maibe the BIG WHY i put all that up there is PLEASE stop reading and given hits to STUPID JOURNALISM peole that make sh!t up as they go and know nothing about the things we love ..

and now as for me back to killzone need to get my rank under 1200 befor sunday now its at 3100 errrrr lol need that damn trophy .. lol.. see ya guys!!

I'm just asking. I couldn't tell if you wrote that making fun of the poor translation or your grammar is that bad.

Anyway Home is pointless. You cruise right past your video tab on your way to Home to watch "Pulse" You cruise right past your audio tab in the XMB on your way to Home to listen to "Chain Swing" for the millionth time. Two tabs over from Home is a much quicker way to chat and message your friends. Sure you don't have avatars, but c'mon most people are still sporting the free clothes because $2.50 for a virtual shirt is ridiculous....if in fact you ever get to see other peoples shirts because most of the time you are done in a given area before everyone's avatar loads. Don't even get me started on the rampant racism and sexism or the fact that all Home is, is a series of disconnected avatar based chatrooms like winkies....er whatever the hell you see advertised on myspace or www.gaiaonline.com, only without the cool real life products.

OO and for who ever cares about the HOME part of these news (im portuguese so i did read it all and theres alot of bull in it but w.e .. heres something from the 2 guys that are the top 2 wen it comes to Playstation HOME ..

Locust_Star writes:

“I want to see everything that was promised in the early demos of Home delivered - specifically, media streaming objects, trophy integration, user generated content, and game launching being supported by all the new titles (and patched for the classic titles we all know and love). I feel like we’re on track to do all this and more.”

“We’re under a lot of pressure. But we can deal with it. This is an incredible group of people we have here - geniuses, across the board. I firmly believe that. I have the utmost confidence that Home will become exactly what it was meant to be, exactly what it was promised to be, and will enable the PS3 to bury the competition. Given that, I sleep very well at night.”

CydoniaX writes:

“Yes. I know that Home is not going to fail. I know that it will be what you all want it to be. I have empirical proof of that. Unfortunately, I just can’t share it all right now, but it will be shared. There are big announcements coming in the next few months”

“Absolutely, yes. These next few updates look pretty significant, and I anticipate everything to continue to ramp up. We’re gaining momentum. By no means is the Home of today the Home of tomorrow. One day, you will have more content than you will know what to do with. You just gotta hang in there with us.”

“I see Home a year from now bearing almost no resemblance to the Home of today. This is a baby that’s just starting to crawl right now. It’ll be a varsity basketball player with mad dunking skills a year from now.”

“I don’t have to ask. They get it. We’ve hammered it into their brains. They take this very, very seriously. As said, be prepared for some pretty major announcements in the not-so-distant future.”

We couldn’t wrap up the article without pointing you to a comment made by Locust_Star digging into the competition. Locust_Star writes:

“I’m allowed to spend my paycheck however I like, but I’m a diligent consumer. I don’t buy hardware that breaks after 3 months.”

I think the biggest problem about Home is Sony had this vision of something like a 3D-version of Myspace/Facebook where people could hangout in your room to look at Trophies, pictures, listen to songs and/or watch movies streamed from your hard drive.

Unfortunately, and I'm a known PS3 fanboy here, Sony seemed to have forgotten about it. What's even more sad is that Sony doesn't seem to know what it is currently trying to do with Home. Heck, it's not even pretending to care about it either!

Hopefully it does get better.

I agree with you, 3d trophies would have been the biggest hook and people would have been constantly logged in home. They have been doing stuff to improve it, but I think they really need to prioritize what is required the most.

7thNightvolley6291d ago

home has so much potential but it only works right if sony really puts a 1000 percent effort to create that atmosphere for hardcore gamers and casuals to actually log in and stay they if to do stuff or to just show off ur trophies but as it is home is not really all that i have logged on and i would not say i spent more than and hour there other than the capcom and fc2 spot there is nothing well then maybe bowling which u might need to wait for a WHILEEE to get a turn.. i would say its best for home to become a main hub for ps3 instead of an addon so when ppl log in they get into home .. and new centres or spaces should co-realeased with big games like a KILLZONE2 community centre or something which is linked to the game and the kz2 website with clan listings and all the other stuff.. i just have this fear that sony wont really meet their goals on home thou but .. i well they might but i am sure it will take a while b4 they actually do satisfy most ppl desires for home.

Its a good idea but just not needed, hence the reason its not popular

If it was essential (and compulsory) to making a great online gaming experience like (dare i say it) NXE then everyone would grow to like it more. Also feedback on what should be done better would be given more cause everyone would be using it

ape0076291d ago

is the best update I've seen in this gen

iNFAMOUZ16291d ago

overrated...and overhyped...
just like every other playstation software to come out yet for ps3...

killzone got killzowned with bitter sales..compared to what people thought it would end up with

maybe next time.

uh uh uh no no wait...I PROMISE GOW III WILL END THE 360....

give me a break, sony's releasing overhyped junk

table6291d ago

i love these idiotic insecure comments. keep on playing your sales fanboy. Whatever helps you sleep in your halo pj's at night :)

felidae6291d ago

well i kinda agree with what you say.

i think Killzone 2 is a good game and there are a few other games worth mentioning like Little Big Planet, Motorstorm and Metal Gear Solid 4 but nothing more for me!

for me it's about great exclusives, great multiplatform games and a great online service and the 360 delivers all of that.

So, I Finally Played Home

I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.

I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.

Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
