Zisso, No the sad part is you openly admit to following a guy who really is an idiot. This was the guy who said Nintendo had not released a single game in over a year. Yet called someone else an idiot for pointing some games out and then went on a crying rant about how those games do not count because they werent up to his standards?

Yeah we will not count the 8 million in sales for SSBB as a success because some internet idiot and is alt accounts couldnt handle not dominating the game in their first online match.

your so right, the next gen will be the proper HD generation, not having a console that can display 1080p....but having most games run at 720p....or less, and then scale them up....that's just weak, and they ( the console developers) keep talking about how powerful they would be, any mid range pc tops 360/ps3 for power, "folding at home OMFG", my 2 year old video card...which by the way was better than the ps3's gpu (my 8800gt) could do that and my gtx 280 can too...console peeps, lighten up with the OMFG KZ2 stuff k?

dchalfont This is why there is even a console flame war about graphics. They want to be sure their system can do or reach what a PC can do. The next gen is going to be the true next gen. It's going to be like the snes era if companies can make it past these bad times.

We have video cards that have 400+ processors in them now instead of 6. The PC guys have figured out what works and what does not and none of them are using a cell type design any more. They only hope for console to leap frog the PC will be stuff like Nvidia's quest to make a GPU/CPU hybrid or intel larrabee which is 30+ cpus that can out do a graphics card. After the I7 I tend to believe they can do it.

Also If you follow nintendo and are older than 17 years old you would know that nintendo loves high end tech they just decided to not to use every single thing out their and get more people playing. The PS3 is just now using rambus ram the N64 had it. Networks hell nintendo had them in japan since the snes. Also while the PS1 had wrinkled texture the N64 correctly did what the PS1 could not do and more. Even then price killed nintendo. Every one knows solid state media will always be the fastest but it's not cheap.

If you see this then WHY can you not see that sony has done the same thing with their blue ray? They have a optical disk which may not cost as much as a cart but the development of the games ranges way up there. The whole problem with carts was to keep cost down. There where 600 megs cart out then and they where on the neo geo I believe.

I keep up with my tech and the funny thing is solid state is coming back. It will happen in PCs first but when you think about it cart allow you to put extra ram on board for your game, an addon card for graphics or effects. With the die shrinks on the market today you could put this stuff in a cart with no problem. This would lead to some games that are very expensive and some that are dirt cheap.

But seriously this gen of console is not a good example of HD gaming. It's only a glimpse and most gamer will be happy to know every thing will not have to use the UT3 engine because there may be that much power available. Their are tons of artist making hi res stuff that can even be put on a console right now. 4 gigs of ram is almost standard for a cheap PC now.

The cell was a joke and the next gen will be the true HD gen. The HD console of right now are just set top boxes.

I'm not here to change your mind and I'm not trying to be a media whore other wise I would post my name here. Also you do realize game journalist make around 25k right? Do you really want to make 25k? Yeah the guys at G4 may get paid but wait a minute they are on TV you have a long way to go for that.

I do this to past time while I'm rendering light maps and other long renders at work, debugging and what not, any thing that take a while etc. It's always good to keep up with the extreme guys like you two. Some where I know you really like games but you just can't understand how to get along with people that don't agree with you.

Let me put it this way. You will get a job and you will have to follow what your boss wants even if he is wrong. You can learn how to deal with your short comings now or just end up being homeless or staying with your mom. Or you can be a sleaze bag posting drivel for hits.
