"Capcom clearly decided to sit on their laurels and release a game that is almost entirely identical to RE4 from a gameplay perspective, but this is totally unjustified in a 2009 release, not only is the shooting frustrating, the sluggish movement and knife controls top it all off. I guess you could say the main issues with Resident evil 5, are the poor controls and terrible friendly A.I, more than enough to render any game useless."

Circana data shows Resident Evil 5 as the best selling Resident Evil game in the US, ahead of Resident Evil 4 remake and Village.
So the most successful RE is the one where a white man is killing Africans.
This can't be real.

New leaks from Dusk Golem detail cancelled Resident Evil projects, including a Rebecca focused Revelations game, while stating no Resident Evil 5 remake is in development.
Capcom's willingness to invest in experiments and scrap them sets them apart form many other developers (Nintendo have a similar methodology). Far too often companies push a game setting or game mechanic that is just not that good and the final product is middling or poor.

Dusk Golem claims a Resident Evil 5 remake is not coming this year, with a Code Veronica remake expected instead.
Hopefully if and when they do a RE5 remake, they give it the RE3 remake treatment, because this is certainly one title that I don't want a faithful remake of.

I agree that the AI and controls could be better, but why should the game have to be different to its predecesor?
As I mention in my review [URL= http://www.goodgearguide.co... Resident Evil seems to be the only franchise that people expect new things from with every sequel. Tekken 5 is exactly the same as Tekken 4. Same with Gears of War 2. Who cares if it was basically a prettier version of the 4th game?
Controls are very poor. And the fact that you can't aim, fire and run at the same time fails too...
Otherwise it's a good game. Firs Resident Evil for me, and I'm enjoying it, but I've heard people say it is simply something like a remake of RE4 brought to this generation graphics.
The controls are fine. imo it wouldn't be the same game if you could just run while shooting.
It would be just an other shooter..
Shoot , mods run at you , you run , make quick turn to for an aim to only find that the mob is right on your tail to eat your brain.
The whole thing is created like that to create a Fight or flight response.
both dmc4 and re5 are bit disappointing and these games were AAA last gen, i cannot wait for lost planet because the first was mediocre, i think the second will be worst...
Why don't you try running and shooting with a gun.........
