The ps3 is a decent machine and to me im glad i bought it but if you play online and wont use the media functions the xbox360 is the better option.i think sony has tried to do too many things this gen without mastering any of them.espicially where creating an online community around the ps3 with the terrible home and lack of standard in game chat et cetera.saying that its never been sent off for repair like my 360 has but saying that ive had the most pound for pound fun out of the 360 regardless of superior graphics on ps3 exclusives.microsoft have concentrated on the online and the games only this gen and got it spot on.IE,the most important things for a console

yea the 360 has the more complete online, but you talk about a headset? microsoft included a headset in alot of 360 giving alot of people the power to speak (alot of little kids) now i cant go on XBL without getting called a n***er or a f*g every 6 minutes because some little kid drank too much soda and was raised but raciest parents... sori but that is my view on XBL from what i experienced. get off me.

I can't help but getting frustrated by the "PS3 doesn't have enough good games" comments. This to me is quite perplexing. To each their own I guess, but as a video game fan I just can't quite contain my excitement level for this year's PS3 exclusives. It just occurred to me while reading that 150 new Playstation games in...one of the Playstation magazines, that we could be potentially seeing Twisted Metal, more Team Ico, Ratchet & Clank, and Jak&Daxter within a year from now, on top of all the confirmed exclusives and some enticing multi-plats. I'm suddenly finding myself eagerly anticipating the new Red Dead Revolver game...that could be great...well yeah drunk and rambling...It's time to shut up now.

find a cure huh? that's funny, would you all like to know why? cancer is a mutation in our own cells. within the body, or outside. this mutation can happen to anyone at anytime. the problem arises when your cells within/without loose the ability to stop dividing. the only cure is to completely cut the cells out or destroy them with radiation. smoking, drinking, and all the other fun stuff we like to do only increases the chances of ppl getting cancer cause it kills cells within our body. it's like playing the lotto, except when you win, you get one single cell that dies and has to be replaced. it's just that this particular cell doesn't know how to stop dividing, so it keeps growing and growing.

Maybe it can miracle itself out of last place, and miracle some game sales while it's at it.

Just watching the PS3 you're studying a black hole. Devs put a lot of effort in and the lesser multiplatform title comes out in 95% of all cases. Customers put their money in and get a lesser gaming experience out then the competition gives. In fact, the PS3 is the big black hole for Sony, money is going in and in and in and nothing comes out. But a loss that is.

and ofcourse I would love the research to contribute to a cancer cure but I am talking about how certain people on this thread are using it as a console war PR stunt and it makes me sick, examples below:

Blackcanary if you look at the comments above you will see that I am not offended that the PS3 contributes to a possible cure for cancer but I am offended how it has been used in the forum, I admit it, I lost my cool but people need to realize that the people they talk about i.e. the cancer sufferers, they need to realize they would look better praising the technology and what it contributes and not insulting the memory of so many by using it has a tool of console the war.

I fold 24/7 when I'm not playing games. I also fold on my PC, and I crunch on it.

actually the pc is the most "useful gaming hub" ,but well let the fanboys get a kick out of it while the ps3 remains in 3rd.

As far as i know, the PS3 does folding@home in a different way to pc's as far as i know.

But what it does it does very fast indeed.

In about 6hours.

PC'S take alot longer, days infact, but there is a slight difference.

Although you can do folding on GPU'S these days and they are very fast as well.

But it's all good.

Truthfully, if you have a PS3. You should be doing folding, if not all the time, do it when you goto sleep, and the ps3 shuts itself down when done.

I know how you took my comments but somtimes I put things wrong and it comes across the opposite of what it was meant to, I just found it in bad taste at some of the comments that were made, I live in the UK, we are approximatly ten years behind america in what we allow to be used for cancer sufferers but when my mother was sick I would have been prepared if possible to have her treated in america but unfortunatly it had already become too advanced and there was nothing that could be done, not trying to get a sympathy vote but the point I am trying to make is that the word 'Cure' should not be taken lightly because we are still far from a cure,the biggest breakthrough that I am aware of is the removal of the cervical cancer gene when the potential sufferer is still young, obviously until the person in question has aged we will not be 100% sure it is affective, but Blackcanary I am all for the application, and if somehow a cure is found with PS3 as a main contributer I will be the 1st to congratulate them.

K, thats the good things ps3 can do, lets talk about the bad.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.
