After announcing that the versus mode for Resident Evil 5 would be due in the next few weeks after the game's launch, Capcom have defended their pricing for the downloadable content.

Circana data shows Resident Evil 5 as the best selling Resident Evil game in the US, ahead of Resident Evil 4 remake and Village.
So the most successful RE is the one where a white man is killing Africans.
This can't be real.

New leaks from Dusk Golem detail cancelled Resident Evil projects, including a Rebecca focused Revelations game, while stating no Resident Evil 5 remake is in development.
Capcom's willingness to invest in experiments and scrap them sets them apart form many other developers (Nintendo have a similar methodology). Far too often companies push a game setting or game mechanic that is just not that good and the final product is middling or poor.

Dusk Golem claims a Resident Evil 5 remake is not coming this year, with a Code Veronica remake expected instead.
Hopefully if and when they do a RE5 remake, they give it the RE3 remake treatment, because this is certainly one title that I don't want a faithful remake of.
It should be free, so what if costs more, online is standard in today's games
How can people complain about paying for something that's NEVER been in the RE universe. It's 5 f***ing dollars, that's a like a mcdonalds value meal. You won't hear anyone complain about paying for maps in CODwaw which just gives you more places to shoot in, while RE5 is bringing something that will change the way an RE game can be played. Why are people compaining?(I don't want to hear "It should havezz beeanz in teh Gamez!!!11)
Capcom developer 1: Ok we've finished the game it's ready to go gold.
Capcom developer 2: But wait...I have an idea to add a versus mode to the game, I think the fans would appreciate it.
Capcom developer 1: Ummm...no RE has never been about versus.
Capcom developer 2: I know, but I think fans would love this.
Capcom developer 1: Well ok that's all well and good but we've exhausted nearly all the budget. The game is ready as is and fans will be pleased with the standard package.
Capcom developer 2: Why not add this as premium dlc to re-coup the additional cost of us creating this new mode?
Capcom developer 1: It's a gamble but that's a good idea. Let's do it.
And the rest is history... Am I being naive, or is this a reality? I guess none us will ever know unless we work as a developer.
This better not be 100kb unlock key or Capcom is going to be caught in a lie.
Don't give me a stupid spiel about family, bills etc.5 dollars is 5 dollars. What you can't spend 5 dollars because you have to pay your mortgage? btw, the tomb raider levels were cut from the game because of the budget and release deadline eidos had to meet. It's simple you don't want DLC don't pay, because other people want DLC.Don't talk out of your ass because you don't want to pay 5 dollars
