Publisher Aksys Games and developer ARC System Works will bring BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer; it's an adaptation of the #1 Japanese smash arcade hit, and fans ought to be pumped. Thanks to a recent eyes-on session and interview with director Toshimichi Mori by IGN, we now have sufficient information to formulate an in-depth preview and we have to say, this game could give Street Fighter IV a run for its money. It's firmly grounded in the standard anime style, but at the same time, it features an extremely intricate combat mechanic that's bound to appeal to hardcore followers of the fighters that haven't died off. They're going strong, and this game's gonna prove it. The animation is amazing, but the old mantra reigns supreme: 'ultimately, it's always the gameplay that matters!'"

Arc System Works' CEO has said that BlazBlue is not done and the studio will touch it the in future to avoid competition with Guilty Gear now.
would love to see it celshaded like guiltygear/granblue etc. Just hope they don't ruin the combat mechanics

"Getting into a long-standing fighting game series is always a challenge for new players. There are so many characters and different versions to go over for many of them and going up against seasoned players who’ve been with the series for years is one of the biggest barriers. BlazBlue, however, has something a lot of other games don’t have; a ton of story. The series is known for having a lot of story content, which can make that initial barrier even harder for new players because if they jump into a new game and play the story mode, they aren’t going to be able to follow it." -- PlayStation Enthusiast

Neil writes: "Last week's Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale was a tad disappointing, mostly because the really decent Xbox One and Xbox 360 bargains were saved for the Ultimate Game Sale. Now though it's time to check out a whole new list of discounted titles. But what bargains are available for gamers to get excited about thanks to the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 24th-30th July 2018?"
Looks pretty cool.
