
Ghostbusters continues to impress every time it's shown (this time by publisher Atari, which picked it up after the Vivendi/Activision merger). The first time anybody in the industry got to experience it, they were confronted with a game that looked great visually, was based on a beloved intellectual property and held a lot of promise that the franchise would be done right by thanks to the participation of the original actors and writers.
Now, at this advanced stage, they get to see all the polish they expected and the story and characters coming to fruition, as well as gameplay that feels challenging and authentic to the "Ghostbusters" universe.

It isn’t a masterpiece of a game, and neither was the movie, but it reminds us again that it is ok for entertainment to just be entertaining. It is a game that deserves to be remastered and remembered. And 35 years later, it also serves to remind us that a remaster doesn’t always need to be Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott. Sometimes, Ray Parker Jr. is exactly who you need to call."
