A video comparison for Resident Evil 5 on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 by IGN. Available only for IGN Insiders.

Circana data shows Resident Evil 5 as the best selling Resident Evil game in the US, ahead of Resident Evil 4 remake and Village.
So the most successful RE is the one where a white man is killing Africans.
This can't be real.

New leaks from Dusk Golem detail cancelled Resident Evil projects, including a Rebecca focused Revelations game, while stating no Resident Evil 5 remake is in development.
Capcom's willingness to invest in experiments and scrap them sets them apart form many other developers (Nintendo have a similar methodology). Far too often companies push a game setting or game mechanic that is just not that good and the final product is middling or poor.

Dusk Golem claims a Resident Evil 5 remake is not coming this year, with a Code Veronica remake expected instead.
Hopefully if and when they do a RE5 remake, they give it the RE3 remake treatment, because this is certainly one title that I don't want a faithful remake of.
Ohh boy... this won't end well.

360 had sharper textures and better lighting. PS3 has better colors. But I'm getting the PS3 version cause i like the controller better for this game.
These things are pointless; only someone playing both back-to-back and going over things with a fine-toothed comb would find differences. It's the same damned game.

Just know that the PS3 demo was a build or two behind the 360 demo when they were released. I played both to death too, and the 360 was drastically better, especially in split-screen co-op. This seems to be fixed, though, as the two versions look very very similar in this comparison.
That said, I still feel the 360 version is looking better. Even beyond what they pointed out in the video, the textures and shine effects seem to be better. Although I hear there's a lot of ugly screen tearing in the 360 version that is absent in the PS3 version.
This poses a problem for me. I always get the better looking multiplat, and when one isn't definitively better than the other, I go with the controls I feel more comfortable with (which is why I got Dead Space and Prince of Persia on PS3). The problem is that I really want to play online co-op at some point, which would require me getting it for the PS3 because I don't want to pay for online gaming. At the same time, this will probably be a very rare occurrence and I'll likely be playing it split screen. I'm really leaning toward the 360 version, but I guess I'll just rent both to see if the disparities are really that great.
PS- Did anyone notice that Chris wears an armband in the PS3 version but not in the 360 one?
