IGN: OutRun Online Arcade Hands-On

Back in the day, arcade racing meant little beyond fast cars, power sliding and exotic locations. And Yu Suzuki was king. OutRun Online Arcade is a revisiting of those days, coming by way of development studio Sumo Digital, the folks behind the console versions of OutRun 2, OutRun 2006: Coast to Coast and other assorted racing and sports games. This is a bare bones game, stripped down for the digital download world, featuring just a handful of licensed Ferraris, one branching course made up of 15 sections, and a few different modes to race through. The good news is that the little there is offers a lot of fun.

VR is the perfect platform for every rail shooter. From House of the Dead to Virtua Cop or even Time Crisis, Silent Scope..
They can also bring their racing franchises back, like Scud Race, Daytona, Sega Rally, Crazy Taxi, 18 Wheeler..
So many hidden treasures just waiting to be brought back.
