blazblue looks beautiful imo and glad to hear its coming to the 360 (more people to own :P) I heard it was a PS3 exclusive also but whatever I don't think there are anymore fighting game exclusives heck supersmash bros mayb the only one left(but its not really) and doa is prolly heading to the ps3 sooner or later.

PS3Center hits whoring as usual. The game was only announced for the arcade and now its making it over to both PS3 and 360. It was never announced as exclusive to any console but whatever.

The site that posted this news need some hits and fanboys get caught up too easily so yeah.

I hope Blazblue is exactly like guilty gears. I will be buying this day 1. Me and my friend played guilty gears untill we couldn't use our thumbs for days.

The key sentence in this whole article is

"was previously THOUGHT to have been a PS3 exclusive"

Just because all these games were Sony exclusives doesnt mean they still will be. Nothing should be assumed until the developer officially announced it. So I dont really know how this is another lost PS3 exclusive.

game looks decent but in no way is a system seller. its good to see the devs making a little more money. might as well milk the 360 while people are actually still buying games for it. by the end of '09 the video game industry will look very different than it does now. the big 3 will change roles dramatically. and before somebody retarded asks...yes i can see into the future.

TreborRversed6279d ago

May just be me but I have never heard of this game until now

ZeroBlitz6279d ago (Edited 6279d ago )

Probably because you don't follow Japanese arcade gaming, good 2D fighters or play Guilty Gear.

Another article based on nothing... there was some leaked info that let people know the game was coming out for the PS3. It never said anything about the game being exclusive and anyone who thought so was simply making illogical assumptions. It's pretty rare for a fighting game to make more profit by being exclusive.

Hope there's an English release for the EU/US so I don't have to import. Looks like a great game and I can't wait.

boodybandit6279d ago

for any console? This is the first I am hearing of the game coming to the consoles and I never heard any site saying it was an exclusive to either console. If I am wrong can someone provide a link to where it was announced and exclusive?

This appears to be a desperate site looking for hits. What else is new?

pain777pas6279d ago

Never heard of this game so I don't care. Looks good though

ZeroBlitz6279d ago (Edited 6279d ago )

Did you read the article...? They said it was announced in the latest Famitsu. Additional information: http://www.destructoid.com/...

I'm pretty sure this is the source of the rumour of BlazBlue's PS3 release as well as unfounded statements of exclusivity: http://www.blazblue.com/for...

Seriously, don't start acting like you know everything about gaming news just because an article annoyed you with it's provocative headline.

Edit: Sorry if it seems like I'm making a big deal out of what you said. I guess it just seemed like your comment was aimed quite a bit at me after I got a disagree for no reason.

How much did the best selling PS3 game sell (motorstorm)?? 3 million units. There are around 20 million PS3 units out right now. I bet half of the users bought them for Blu-ray. It doesn't make sense to make an exclusive, as it won't sell well. Compare the PS3 and 360 versions of Call of Duty: WaW. The PS3 version sold 1 million and the 360 version sold around 4 million. That is four times more!! Now imagine if CoD WaW was a PS3 exclusive. It would sell, but not as much.

nah blazblue was only for arcade and ps3, so i guess 360 gets it too. its a 2d fighter so it wont do very well, but still a good decision to go multiplatform...with sf4 and tekken on the way, its kinda hard to put out a game that looks like that...i mean its beautiful with the traditional 2d gameplay, but that age of fighters is coming to an end

panasonic236280d ago (Edited 6280d ago )

awesome this is the year of fighters man i hope the rumors about KI3 is true. Tekken 6, Blue Blaze,King of Fighters XII, pretty soon Killer Instinct 3

facepalm6280d ago

I don't even remember this game being announced for the PS3 prior to this... Although it was speculated that it was going to head to the PS3.

^-^ I'm just happy that they finally announced this game for the console.

SFIV, KoFXII, BB, T6

It's going to be an awesome year for fighting game fans.

kingOVsticks6280d ago

in the last two years there was a real drought in good deep fighting games, only ones I can recall are Soul caliber 4, virtua fighter and ... well that it lol. I hope a new 3d fighting game series comes out soon and breath new life into the gerne.

RememberThe3576280d ago

I don't even remember this game.

HolyOrangeCows6279d ago

Oh course a stupid game like this is going multiplat. They want to try to sell 4 copies instead of just 2.

Jumping into the BlazBlue series is daunting at this point

"Getting into a long-standing fighting game series is always a challenge for new players. There are so many characters and different versions to go over for many of them and going up against seasoned players who’ve been with the series for years is one of the biggest barriers. BlazBlue, however, has something a lot of other games don’t have; a ton of story. The series is known for having a lot of story content, which can make that initial barrier even harder for new players because if they jump into a new game and play the story mode, they aren’t going to be able to follow it." -- PlayStation Enthusiast
