I liked Guilty Gear and if this is similar then I will look forward to it.

For awhile there I was wondering if the news that this was even coming to PS3/PSN had been faulse since it was never confirmed.

I never heard of this one ?

I had forgotten all about this game, now I need to set aside some funds and put this one on my list. Made by the same people who made Guilty Gear then it is a must have for me :).

Actually, it has never been announced as exclusive for the PS3, not even announced for the PS3. BlazBlue was an arcade game. When the game was announced, as Guilty Gear Overture was coming on Xbox 360, rumors told that the game would be exclusive to the PS3, but even there, Arcs System never said anything about a console port of the game.

So saying that PS3 lost an exclusivity is strictly wrong, as the game was never officially announced as exclusive to the PS3. However, as i love Guilty Gear series and Arcs System games in general, BlazBlue will be mind, no matter the critics.

This really doesn't matter much, to the big picture. 360 has SF4, Soul Caliber, and TEKKON (If it ever comes out)...but this isn't much of a defining moment in gaming. Now, I am speaking in terms of console dominance, as I think that is the point of this article. Besides, STREET FIGHTER 4, is pretty much the only one that matters...right?

As long as first and second party exclusives continue to push the limits in terms of what said hardware can do then I am happy. I can definitely say that after playing Killzone 2 and many of the other sony first party exclusives. Killzone 2 is the BEST fps I have EVER played!!

1) BlazBlue wasn't even announced to come on consoles, it was never announced to be on PS3. It was announced now to be on X360 and PS3, so it was never an exclusive.

2) this is the best 2D Fighter out there. The developers themselfs said its spiritual succecour of Guilty Gears, and if you compare them they play perfectly the same. Its just different story and characters.

3) this has the deepest fighting mechanics and combos in a fighter. No fighter comes close.

4) This game on 24th febuary made Tekken 6 in arcades take 2nd place, and bow down to this game being the top arcade game in japan. (Street Fighter is 5th place below Tekken, Gundam, Virtua Fighter and BlazBlue)

5) It keeps true to anime graphics, unlike some other fighters

6) It has the best combos and moves in all fighters. Go beat a 70 hit combo in another other fighters appart from Guilty Gears and BlazBlue.

7) It has probably the best music in fighting game ever (Well Guilty Gears music rock too). Just search on youtube BlazBlue OST and listen. No crappy INDESTURTABLE of SFIV

8) Characters are way more deverse and unique characters then any other fighters out there. From your typical Wrestler to even a PUPPETMASTER. From Gun user to Ninja. From a Cat to a ghost.

9) All characters are equal. In fact in arcade tournaments in japan you see alot of different character, and everytime someoen different wins, not as SFIV where Shoto characters are over powered and nearly all tournaments are won by Sagat or Akuma

10) IT IS NEXT GEN GUILTY GEARS

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE 2D FIGHTING GAME.

I'm sorry SFIV. You suck. I have it and you can check my tropies to see. I stopped playing it. Online is a lag feast. To win online all I need is to go as Ken and spam Haduken and then use Shoruken when they come close. Characters are greatly unbalanced. Characters have very few combos. One character of Tekken or Guilty Gears/BlazBlue has more combos then all SFIV roster togther. Go online, tell me when you don't see a Ken or Akuma. Combos are super easy to pull of. Just sweep and press Punch, Haduken!. Then wiggle while going down and press punch, shoruken! SFIV is very shallow fighting mechanics with unbalanced characters, lame music (I challange you to listen to main menu music more then 5 min without stopping), broken online (people with green ping lag people with no bars in ping don't lag?)

I've never played this in arcades before or played any of the guilty gears can someone tell me how it plays? SF, KOF, TEKKEN, SC?

I had a copy of Guilty Gear for dreamcast...it was easily one of the best fighting games I had ever played. It was so fast paced and very artistic in its design. The characters were awesome...I actually wish I still had my dreamcast, I would pop it in right now.

I never heard of this game though, but might give it a try if it's like GG.

I didn't even know this game existed but it looks too much like guilty gear (which I hate). The only fighting game I care about would be DOA5 though.

I wish it was on the Wii.

I got 2 things to say about this "news"

1. It was never meant to be a PS3 exclusive. It was announced for the arcades and now it being ported to the PS3 and 360. Notice how it says "it was THOUGHT to have been PS3 exclusive"

2. Who the f*** cares if it's also on the 360...it's not like PS3 owners won't get to play the game anymore....jeez...get a life man.
