The CEO of Nightdive Studios has said in a tweet that the game is currently on the list for a modern update.
Oh I'm sold already, Nightdive does really solid remasters, and to this day I still love the darkness

Excellent news. The Darkness is one of my all-time favorite games and the sequel is great too. I've just recently had a great time replaying them on my PS3. Unfortunately it's kinda hard to recommend them these days, because they're stuck on PS3 and 360 so a remaster would certainly be appreciated. Nightdive has been killing it lately.

Recently ran through The Darkness 2 on PS3 again.
I hated the switch in style when it first came out but they're both amazing games.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

Wow this game...this game has quietly garnered alot of my attention lately, it is really shaping up nicely, the shooting sequences remind me a little of fear as does the surroundings as their all dark and kind of creepy. I am actually very excited for this game and I'm putting it in my must have category unless reviews suck badly. Oh and watch the volume, this video is loud and it starts out with gun-shots and yea it will scare the crap out of you
And I love that sh!t....Like I thrive off that stuff...tippy toeing down a dark hallway with the lights flickering here and there....some butt ugly mother f@#ker smashes through the wall only to get a heavy douse of buck shot baby!
