It would seem that Neil Thompson, (Microsoft's senior regional director for the Entertainment and Devices division in Europe) doesn't think a lot of the gaming public's spending habits. Basically, he just seems to think that if Microsoft gives us plenty of choice, we won't care about what it is we're actually choosing.
This has transcended simple corporate speaking and has entered a new circle of what we've decided to call "meta-linguistic acrobatics" because it sounds as if it makes as much sense.
Specifics seems to be what Thompson wants to avoid getting into. He won't give specific figures on how Live is doing in the UK, all he would utter was, "What I can say is that we have 17 million Xbox Live subscribers worldwide that are very active, and all of our download content - especially in the UK - is above where our expectations put us."

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

The name "Hewson" carries a special weight for anyone who grew up during the golden age of British computing. As the son of Andrew Hewson—the man behind legendary publisher Hewson Consultants—Rob Hewson didn't just grow up playing video games; he learned to spell his name from their title screens. However, Rob didn't just rest on his family's 8-bit laurels. From leading major LEGO franchises at TT Games to tackling the high-stakes world of technical porting at Huey Games, Rob has carved out a unique path in an ever-evolving industry. In this candid interview Rob to discussed the burden and beauty of a family legacy, the technical "scar tissue" left by the ambitious Hydrophobia, and why porting a masterpiece like Inscryption to consoles is far more than a simple copy-paste job.
To celebrate Tomb Raider: Legend's 20th anniversary, the official channels have shared an early in-development gameplay demo.
When my first unit bit the dust and it came to "choosing" between a Jasper Arcade replacement or a Falcon 60 gig PRO, I went with the PRO (again): because I didn't feel like paying $160 + another $50 for proprietary HD component cables, just to get a more stable version of the box that I had to start with (with an extra 60 gigs, but whatever).
All this "choice" that he talks about is only if you're an idiot with money or totally uniformed. Most people lean towards the higher price point (PRO vs. Arcade) if they have any sense.
I like the games, but the service and PR bullsh*t is really too much sometimes. They're just as expensive as Sony, they just hide the costs better.
oh and that website account is based in Canada its funny those 2 friends on your XBL account are from canada, T.T when I go for someone i find everything, you have lost give up.
its also funny that the site has the same user name as your gamertag which im messaging with you right now. XD rofl, i love it when ps3 fanboys loose.
oh your gamertag location even says from canada, funny how this all matchs up.
anything you post ever again in a 360 forum is null and void. have a nice day failure.
lol, calm down people. xbox 360 is rubbish. i'm on my 6th xbox 360 and will never ever buy a xbox 360 again.i have a working system now but sometimes it still gives problems like disc read errors.if you fanboys want to check and make sure im not lying, i can easily send a pic of the xboxes i still have which are 3, 1 working and 2 broken.
i say xbox 360 is rubbish all the time because it is true. people get upset over hearing that the xbox 360s failure rate is 33% or that it isnt as powerful as the ps3. these same people think you can compress 50gbs of data onto a 8gb disc ,lol. anyway, ps3 is the best console for gaming which is common sense, but i will admit certain things that are good about the xbox 360 which are the price and the party chat system they have. although the party system kicks a lot of people out a lot of the times, its nice when it works.
ps. the talon stands for talented.
That was the wierdest PR lingo I've ever heard. This is the best translation I could come up with:
"People don't care about the selection at hand. They're just happy if you give them something to select at all."
"Don't ask us about a specific region's performance. If it's low, we won't talk about. Sweeping stuff under the rug is pretty brilliant, huh?"
Stand up, your voice is muffled.
