It wasn't the smoothest of launches for the PS3, but it certainly had its highlights, Resistance: Fall of Man primary among them. This alternative World War II reality proved to be an impressive showcase for the system's graphics and hint at its online potential with 40 man multiplayer. GameDaily BIZ takes a closer look...

Sony is in the middle of an FPS crisis, but bringing back two much-loved PlayStation shooters could easily be the solution.
I honestly don't think we'll be seeing these anytime soon, if ever. Insomniac is officially on Marvel duty since it seems that all they're working on based off the leaks, and Horizon is more of what the casuals want these days. And I now I'll get a bunch of disagrees, but keep in mind that Resistance last got a game on the PS3 (2011) and Killzone was a launch title for the PS4 (2013). 10 years is a long time to make a game, if had any interest they would've done it by now, add InFamous to that list.
Resistance 3 turned me off to the series but I’d love a reboot. KillZone I think can stay dead. Give me a new Resistance like 1or 2 and I’ll be happy.
I honestly never cared or liked killzone. Huge resistance fan though. I remember so many nights playing melee only on USS Lexington, and I like the alt history vibe.

The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱

While it's been on ice for as long as it was around, the Resistance franchise has no shortage of quality.
My take:
Single player
3, 2, 1
Multiplayer
3, 1, 2
Overall
3, 2, 1
I beat the lengthy single player in 1 multiple times and spent hours in the online too. Plus 1 featured my home town! Special mention to the audio design in 1: playing that with surround headphones blew me away.
Note: I have the platinum for Resistance 2.
I only played the 3 main Resistance titles. My ranking would be;
1. Resistance 3
2. Resistance: Fall of Man
3. Resistance 2
Man I loved 3's campaign. Another gem stuck on the ps3 and who knows if insomniac will go back to the franchise.
i really want my PS3 now and im getting this and motorstorm with it :)
If you owned a PS3, wouldn't RFOM be a must have with the small library of PS3 games?
Don't get me wrong, the game has some nice attributes and deserves to be in someones PS3 library but unless you absolutely hated FPS, I would think this game is a must have.
Just like Twilight Princess on the Wii.
I just finished it a couple of nights ago...loved it...absolutely, unoquivocally, hands-down...loved it! Everything is just so MASSIVE...the environment, the levels, the monsters! And as you progress further into the game, it's absolutely insane as to how much is going on around you at once...without a singe framerate drop.
I must add, however, that it took me a while to warm up to the game, as the first hour or so is relatively stagnant compared to what comes later in the game.
My lids are peeled waaaay back for a sequel.
In summary: If you like RPG's even the slightest, then yes, run out immediately and buy this game without thought!
Have you played it?
i dont like gears, halo any of the other stuff but i do have fall of man but i dont really like it.
problems i find with fps
not good stories
to short
focus on graphics everything else is left out
just a few things but my bro bought dragonball tenkeichi 2 or however you spell it for his wii so i gave him my fall of my game in return.
i really really hate fps games.
