OK. Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but there's no denying that people are excited for Ghostbusters: The Video Game, a title coming this June and taking place two years after the events of Ghostbusters 2. As the newest teammate, you'll need to test Egon's gadgets and take on a paranormal threat like the city -- and world -- has only seen on the silver screen. Still, the game's transition from announcement to your disc drive hasn't been an easy one. We don't know much about the game beyond busting ghouls, the title was pushed back after switching publishers and we still don't know much about multiplayer."

WTMG's Todd Eggleston: "Ghostbusters The Video Game is nostalgia done right, and puts you right back in 1984. It isn’t a masterpiece of a game, and neither was the movie, but it reminds us again that it is ok for entertainment to just be entertaining. It is a game that deserves to be remastered and remembered. And 35 years later, it also serves to remind us that a remaster doesn’t always need to be Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott. Sometimes, Ray Parker Jr. is exactly who you need to call."

Ghostbusters is set to release on Bluray around the time the game is due. Originally, future Bluray release schedules had both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 set for release the same day, but if you looked for the past month or so Ghostbusters 2 is missing. My guess is Sony is going to include part 2 with the game on the PS3 disc.
