Mediapost: "Much to the surprise of us hopefuls, and to the dismay of many ps3 owners, it took Sony more than 14 months longer than expected to release the first open-beta of the Home experience. I went from saying "This is going to be huge," to "This thing may never come out." Well, they say that good things come to those who wait. In this case, it could very well be true.
Having finally experienced Sony's creation firsthand, not only is Home entertaining, visually stunning and rich with features, but it also engages visitors for long periods of time (hours, not minutes) - one of the longtime benefits of, and interest in, video games and gamers.
It has integrated advertising into the environments, similarly to the real world, just without the physical or technological limitations. For instance, when hanging out in Central Plaza, visitors can watch movie trailers on a massive video wall complete with 3-D sound."

Benjamin Rivers has suggested that it is “totally possible” for two of his titles — Alone With You and Home — to be ported to Nintendo Switch.

I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.
I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.
Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
Handheld Players takes a look at the PS Vita new releases in February 2018.
It will be interesting to be apart of the growth that HOME will undertake over the coming months and years. I am excited for all of the 3rd party support from videogame publishers/developers as well as support from companies outside of the gaming industry.
The sky's the limit. Hopefully Sony makes the most of this opportunity and truly makes "PlayStation Home" something special.
Unfortunately, at the moment I'd rather be Home®-less.
Home has already collected twenty of my bucks, and they were well spent. I've made more friends than I have room for. The Max is 100 and every time I go on Home I get 2-5 friend requests. Part of that is due to my Kickin Ninja or my Pirate King gear, the other half due to me helping others. Not to mention the house parties with Mic DJs here and there, as well as meeting others through friends.
For what it was made for, Home is a success. It's a place to meet other gamers and to share good times. For those looking to be entertained, you could just do what I do. Stand back and laugh at the noobs who mob every virtual chick they meet completely unaware of Chicks-A-Dudes that roam about, or (my favorite past time) you can laugh at the Home Trolls who prey on the weak minded... or try to anyway.
Not to mention Home has already started several subcultures already. There are the Homelings (ugly echochrome people who are considered the Home-aliens) which is about the craziest bunch around. There are the Frosties, people who wear snowman heads all the time, good folks just looking to have fun. The Glitchers, people who spend all day practicing and using the glitches in Home to amaze the masses, don't worry they don't harm anyone else's experience and are usually quite helpful.
Lately there are a growing number of Ninja, Pirates, and SF4 people in just the past couple of weeks that are starting to form cultures as well. Of coarse, all of these cultures are non exclusive as I personally am a Mic DJ Ninja Glitcher... lol. And as more content is released for Home, I'm sure more cultures will emerge as well.
