I only buy used games at GS. I buy all new games at Bestbuy. No fanboy bullish and they have plenty of copies on launch day.

At my store we got 30 plus Killzone 2 Games in . We sold only 3 copy's so far. I think i know what is going on now.People never herd of Killzone and Sony did not Advertise enough .No Co-OP that did not help thing's but the Number one Reason people did not buy in to this . I know launch day sales aren't everything but i'm just saying i'm EXTREMELY disappointed as a gamer in the PS3 users cause for all the hate that is given on anyone that talks bad about KZ2 on this site alone, every gamestop, Wall mart, Toys R us, Best Buy and Blockbuster should have been sold out. Buying Killzone 2 should be like trying to buy a Wii right now. There should be a waiting list.

Killzone 2 is one of the Greatest shooter's out there.But the competition is great.Halo War's , Star ocean ,SF4 ,RE5 all well known game's is alot don't you think. Guess we will soon see won't we.:)

Wow, some of you people are just sad. How about listening first. You can't base posts of titles alone. If you listened, you would find that this podcast is actually very pro-sony (which should please all you Sony fanoys in here). Ironically, the two of the people on the podcast predicted you guys would act like this.

I have not yet done my part in buying KZ2, I still do not have SF4, I'm backed up with SO4, Prince of Persia, Fallout 3.

From what I'm hearing, this is not a Hawt launch for game of this caliber. I mean come on people...this game should be fn sold out.

You know what I went through to get Gear of War? A whole week 1/2.

It's not hard to understand why it was called a flop. 4 years in the making, millions of dollars to make, every Sony fan saying they would buy it and that it was a Halo killer and more. Then the game comes out and only 5% of owners bought it?? IF that is true than yeah I'd call it a flop but only if that is true.

For this game to live up to the hype Sony fans have put on it, it better sale some decent numbers.

All I have to say is this is one of the best games I've played since the original Resident Evil period. I have both systems but I tell you you can't beat the game play not even Gears of war!

Consumer-level, word of mouth, industrial espionage, with one sided double standards. I didnt hear this when Fable 2, Halo 3, or Gears of War 1 or 2 came out, so why is it here now? It's only been three days since it's launch, and already Microsoft daughter/partner/affiliate companies are trying to damage Killzone 2 with viral campaigning. No surprise though, just the sort of low-handed tactic I'd expect from those in bed with Microsoft. No I dont mean Xbox 360 owners/gamers, as I am one myself, but the hateful, spiteful, hit-mongers that keep posting wannabe news articles(opinions) in hopes that it will somehow persuade the majority into beleiving that Killzone 2 hasn't rocked in sales numbers by it's third day out. How about back off, stop the hate, and let the numbers speak for themselves at the end of the month. Seriously, this is getting very immature, and transparent. Game on...

....I was actually happy to be able to go to Gamestop on Friday...buy my copy of KillZone 2 in relative peace and quiet instead of being stuck in line with a hundred dirty, sweating, disgusting fanboys making a crotch-to-ass boner chain waiting for a game to come out at midnight.

I went in at 10am...got my game...and went home. Unfortunately, getting my copy of GTA4 was the polar opposite, not only did I have to endure a large group of mouth-breathers...I also had to put a few people in their place when they saw I was the only one getting his copy for the PS3.

Get this game. I've been gaming realistically for 25+ years. It is a gem. edit~ and yes it is a shame about the lack of co-op.

kz2 has sold millions u guys talk to much and for the guy who pretends to be working at game store and says it has only sold two copies quit lying ur not cool ur gf didnt believe u when u lied to her what makes u think people here will believe u? kz is selling period. and will keep selling. piracy will kill xbox down the road u can count on it

Killzone isn't a flop, but it's also no eyebrow raising blockbuster.

More of a 360 fan here, but it was sold out at are Toys R Us today, but Best Buy had plenty of copies. I would have to say that my son is definately enjoying this game MUCH more that RFOM2. He played RFOM2 for 30min and never played it again. Yes.. that supposed GeOW2 killer.

a flop according to gamestop? Does anyone buy games there any more? Last game i brought at EB (we dont have gamestop in australia) was lair a few weeks ago to try with the analogue controls, and before that i think it was like.... gta4. and i buy alot of games.

It has already sold at least 1.5 million in Europe, so it has probably sold more than that in FPS crazed USA, so I am thinking 3-5 million in sales in the first couple of weeks.

VGChartz has today released preliminary data which suggests that Killzone 2 has already passed the 950,000 sales mark since launch.

It's selling very well in Europe and in USA it will sell better than many other games (Resistance 2). Killzone 2 is a success. It's a failure only for the people that expected "Halo 3" numbers.

Well, if Halo WARS will sell beter than KZ2.. than YES.. KZ2 will be a flop, a sales flop.

ALso, if KZ2 wont reach 2 Million in 1st week it also will be a flop. YOu must always mention and talk about the HYPE this game had.

I hope this game wont sell less than Halo wars.. that would really be a joke for Sony :D!

This game is stellar, I have both ps3, and 360 (so no I am not a fanboy) I originally pre-ordered this game, but was not impressed with the demo from GS, so I cancelled, and switched my pre-order to RE5 for 360 (just cause it runs in a higher resolution on 360) but I might just change my mind, and get RE5 on ps3 instead. I couldn't stop watching in-game footage of KZ2 at work Friday, so I went to GS, and bought a copy, they only had 3 copies left. I live in Ohio, I don't know where the rest of you cats live. I have read all these posts, yeah this game doesn't do anything new, but god it is gorgeous, and fun. 10 times better than halo three, it looked like they made that for xbox 1, I know, I owned it, I pwned it, then i sold it back 2 GS in a week. So for all you haters, just watch out cause ps3 is coming to the table with some AAA games, so quit your whining. Oh yeah had gears 2 also, just a rehashed gears 1 built on a had engine, that is the best 360 will ever be able to do.

Actually I did see a couple of KZ2 commercials during UFC events...but thats all it was. It did impress a couple of Xbox buddies of mine who really didn't care to hear about PS3 games though...

well in us sales are already over amillion, and pre-orders are already over 1.3million in europe.

On subject: The launch was not even close matching the internet hype. It'll be interesting to see the numbers. My favorite gamestop had no midnight launch and 30 preorders for the game. WOW's last expansion had 160 to show a comparison. But, even without the midnoght launch they sold all of their inventory and was replenished at least once before the weekend was over. It'll be interesting to see the sales.
I usually avoid podcasts but this one was ok. They had one PS3 fanboy and the rest were 360 gamers. The 360 guys seem to be refreaining from keeping it real to avoid the haters on the sites. I laughed when the PS3 fanboy lied and said PS3 gamers are known for buying alot of games. When the truth is 360 gamers are truly the ones known for buying games. We support our big exclusives and we purchase the most multi-plat games for almost every single game out there. The truth is if Killzone 2 doesnt do massive numbers it completely proves that the internet hype means absolutely nothing to the real world demographics. I've already said that based on everything I've seen of Killzone (the entire single player campaign), there will be a backlash after they attempted to trash Halo and Gears in order to promote this game.

I work at a retail store and all the games that get the big hype sellout and takes another week for us to get another shipment because they sellout but Killzone 2 was not sold out at my store and people say that not to many people were at midnight release...so ther was no need to reserve it

Wow...people sure have high expectations these days. Its like if a game doesn't sell at least 3 million copies on day one then it considered a "less than stellar" release?! Give it some time and wait for the real sales numbers to be released before you bash it!
