Nice review score. Based on the demo I think the scores it has been getting overall are pretty much on the mark (mid to low 8s).

I got the game yesterday and ended up playing it for almost 6 hrs before going to bed.Easy, accessible and a lot of fun.

Very impressed with it so far!

i'm gonna try it this week it seems like its gonna be fun. i just get the feeling that it took a lot of the strategy out of real time strategy for this one. but if thats what it takes to make an RTS work on console so be it then.

Very good game, with solid controls.

Fantastic title, one of the best RTS titles I've played in my lifetime. I can't help thinking I'll be comparing StarCraft 2 to this when it comes out.

Since I only play singleplayer (typically), 8 hours is a bit on the short side. However, since everyone's raving about how fun it is, I think I'll have to try it out.

"This is a fantastic looking title. I've seen a wealth of RTS titles in my lifetime, and not once have I been this excited to see a unit from the other Halo titles simply to see how wonderfully rendered it has become in Halo Wars. The units are detailed enough not to look clunky and lazily rendered when you zoom in, and they have a variety of contextual animations, from Scarabs stalking over the flaming wreckage of a tank, to Elites ducking and weaving to avoid incoming fire. Not to mention the gloriously dangerous Spartan units, who weild anything from Spartan Lasers to Miniguns, and have a tendency to jump two hundred feet up in the air to highjack a Banshee mid-flight."

"The campaign itself is comprised of fifteen missions separated into four acts, and are separated from each other by a pre-rendered cutscene to flesh out the story. The story itself, dare I say it, is the best, most well-written storyline I've seen in the Halo universe outside of the official fiction titles. The characters are varied, and it's a joy to finally see how an Elite manages to make human noises with a face like half a spider. Everything is stunningly rendered and the color of the Halo universe does a lot to counter-balance the horrendous trend of brown and greys in the Xbox catalogue of late."

I'm just glad it looks like finally I have a RTS I can really enjoy on my 360 and the fact that I get to experience more of the great Halo Universe at the same time is just too sweet.

....its a great title. Really enjoying the experience as well. I am finding a lot of stuff out about the halo universe as well especially the spartans. Great game, haven't tried it online yet, to the people that have played online, is it good?! Im focusing on the campaign atm.

Who puts infinite above CE? CE was revolutionary when it came out and STILL plays well today. The level design is great (even if there’s too many repeating hallways but that’s a product of the time), excellent AI and not to mention, it has the most balanced legendary setting out of the entire series. They got it right the first time.
