Split-screen.com writes: "Killzone 2 has finally released, and while the world is still spinning, rumours have begun running rife about Guerrilla Games' working on the third (perhaps, final?) Killzone title for the Playstation 3, along with Killzone: Liberation 2. It's a big enough deal that the second game didn't exactly touch the pinnacle of perfection, as most detractors have been quick to point out, but it comes pretty damned close. Now, to make Killzone 3 better than Killzone 2? Quite simply, by taking everything that works and retooling it to not simply add to the game experience but expand upon it.
"Old players can test their skills in the new settings, new players can wallow in a fresh experience…but that's just the multi-player, and the beginning. Let's take it one step at a time."

As PlayStation celebrates its 30th anniversary, let's explore the best PlayStation games Sony has to offer.
There's too many games to choose from
No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head
PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

Hugely disappointingly, it seems that Guerrilla Games, developers of the Killzone and Horizon series, may be done with Killzone for good.
1 was fine, overhyped as a " halo" killer
2 was a graphical beast at the time, and felt heavy
3 was good a refinement of 2 but not much else. weird audio issues environment were to quiet
shadow fall was pretty but bland
I dont mind if someone else takes up the mantle for the KZ franchise. We are several years removed from the first game. It certainly could use a remake to gauge interest in the rest of the series. I know it has its fans... Im thinking of how a proper reboot can rekindle that old dormant flame and bring in a new generation of fans in the process.
Would like a new IP before Horizon 3. Just because games take so long to make these days.

The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱
that title doesnt make any sense
Alright article but the author is trying to make KIllzone into some kind of RPG kind of game, sounds like to me atleast when i read it, but i do agree with some other stuff he mentioned, like a MAG still online, i just JIzzed in My PANTS
What I'd like to see is a more robust party system and co-op. That's all so far. :-)
i would like to see a theater mode where u can watch ur previous match...today i got the craziest and luckiest grenade kill and i didnt have the chance to have a replay. all games should have this just like halo3
Well I dont think that Killzone 2 is a game that wont have any patches, updates, extras, add-ons - If ya have heard of that before.. So ofcourse it will be perfect if it isn already now. The guys at GG will ofcourse listen to people and try to make the game superior to anything else. Already thinking of Killzone 3 getting the things Killzone 2 dont got right now is ridiculous.
