I too have many games to finish. I didn't finish Devil May Cry 4 in Dante Must Die difficulty, didn't finish Hitman Blood Money (on 360, because i've finished it many times on PS2), i didn't start Mass Effect, Dead Or Alive 4, Bullet Witch yet.

I didn't finished the challenge rooms of Bioshock, still having to finished Mirror's Edge, Tomb Raider Underworld (on PS3, i've already done it on 360), Prince Of Persia, Motorstorm 2, Street Fighter IV (Akuma and Gouken are still missing on 360) and Naruto UNS. But i've bought Killzone 2.

The first reason is because the quality of the demo does not match the quality of the retail game, just like the demo of Motorstorm Pacific Rift. Then because i've been long time playing the KZ2 beta and i didn't feel so much since Call Of Duty 4. Also because i have a sense of priority.

For now, my priority is to continue Eternal Sonata, finish Killzone 2's story and accept Street Fighter IV duels on both consoles. Once Eternal Sonata finished, i will start Mass Effect, go to the Killzone 2 online and finish the short-length games like Mirror's Edge, Prince Of Persia and Devil May Cry 4.

And once i will reach the game-free time (the one where there is no more interesting game to buy) i'll start the ones i didn't open yet (like Bullet Witch, Pure, Diner Dash, etc...). It's just a matter of time management.

The 1st thing i said when i read the topic is "Becuz ur an idiot" ppl waited for this game since 4 years ..

I can respect the authors reasoning. I've done the same in the past with certain games.

I like to complete my game, and I prefer that the online community as well as servers/stability of the game in question has improved somewhat.

I like Killzone but I can't help but feel the confusion that grows inside me... I feel all alone in a gaming world full of games and I struggle to find any kind of self help to guide me through what I once used to consider fun.

I'm scared that when I write this my peers will think I'm strange but just between us we know were only a little different.

EDIT: Oh wait, He didn't. Well, I've done many a case when I buy games before 100% completing games because I want to play and feel the experience, its just nice to swap around games everynow and then. It's like putting a bookmark in and reading another book and getting back to it later.
It's obvious if the writer didn't want to play it between other games, he had no intention of playing it in the first place. Which reminds me, I should go back to K2 on the second level, but...right now...I just sort of feel mega lazy and might leave KZ2 to the weekend.

I'm still at work and hence have not picked up my copy yet. Since sales are projected to be huge based on the pre-orders, I hope there is a copy left for me. Thanks for leaving yours on the racks to improve my odds.

The 360 fanbags are squealing, can you hear them? Why all the PS3 hate? I enjoyed Gears of War 2 and I pray Left4Dead is ported to the PS3. I enjoy GREAT GAMES. Killzone 2 is a GREAT GAME, DEAL WITH IT!!!!!! It's the same reason my Gamestop didn't have a midnight launch, because this is a PS3 exclusive. If this game had been 360 exclusive, every Gamestop would have had a midnight launch. I know the game had plenty of pre orders at the store by me so that definitely wasn't the reason. Fallout 3 had midnight launch and there were about ten people waiting, I can guarantee there would have been at least twenty for Killzone 2, the industry is so pathetic.

I'm playing it and it's freaking amazing!!!!! Only other FPS game that is on the same page is Call of Duty, period.

I dont know if u guys know this i know it works on some other games but if you turn off 720p in hdmi setting of ps3 it will output it in 1080i or 1080p and it def makes a dif alot smoother and the lines are much more fine go try it killzone FTW

Sometimes I feel the same way but in my opinion its silly for a journalist write a article about it. I'm getting the game later today and I'll surely play it too, but there are times when I buy games knowing that I need to finish the games I already have first, either way even those he has some legit reasons it seems like the reason he wrote about it is mostly for hits.

ok so I picked up KZ2 at 10 and so far I've played 3 online games and a bit of the story mode. I was not too impressed with the demo but here's what I got so far. Online looks just like the single player mode a big plus. The single player mode is very impressive from the minute the game starts you feel submerged in combat. On the down side most will probably adjust their controller scheme to move faster when turning..this is actually no big deal since most do it anyway. The only other down I can see so far is that the TV seems to small. What I mean is you feel so engrossed in combat that you feel like you are just a small piece of something much bigger. You almost feel like you need a wrap around screen so you can soak everything in. The game for me so far is well done and I have no complaints, and no I'm really not a big PS3 fan. I actually love my 360 but if games like KZ2 and Uncharted are what I can expect then I'll be on my PS3 a lot more. Glad I pre ordered the game. I just don't understand why my gamestop only had 1 poster and the Pre order boxes to promote the game and Halo wars (great demo) has posters every where.

Sadly, the time this person took to write the article he could have used to continue playing his "unfinished" games. Nobody really cares that he isn't buying K2, or that he thinks it has server issues. Real gamers deal with what happens and wait on a solution while continuing to play the game, not whine about it in an article stating assumptions about a game they don't even have yet. LOL

This game could have been brilliant the graphics are awesome but the controls really mess this game up they should have gone with cod series controls, but what was too be a good a game is a rubbish game.

We had to know that of the millions of ps3 owners you are not playing it its not our fault your missing out on a revolutionary invative game and definite game of the year. So really no one gives a rats ass especially me keep your childish post on ign were bias are fishes waiting to be fed.

I have a few new games myself that I'm playing but they have been put aside for Killzone 2. I love the game. I have played a lot of FPS. That's my favorite type of game. Killzone 2 is an awesome experience at times it feels like you are really in Hellgan. It's okay if you wait for the game just don't miss this experience. This game is a keeper.

If you only own one system..namely Xbox 360 you are going to be suprised when some 'true gamers' on PS3 actually admit it's not the greatest experience ever. I've had no problems getting online and I will tell you that I'm not of a fan of PSN but I've been having a blast.

The only reason I wont be getting it is because I am not that much into multiplayer. I am tired of short single player campaigns regardless of the console it comes on. Without the added experience of MP, it feels like a premature ej~~

Well I didn't turn into a fighter jet and have a dog fight over the slate gray skies of england, blasting my opponent with lead causing him to crash into a nearby lake in a blaze of unholy fire.

I will not playing anytime soon either because:
1. I don't enjoy playing shooters on a console.
2. I don't own a PS3 yet.

My current situation leaves no option but to postpone the purchase of another console to later times. But in no time I doubt this is a fantastic game and, I hope they will eventually port it to PC.

Why I won't be playing Killzone 2 anytime soonAre you all enjoying Killzone 2? Good, I’m glad, but I’m afraid I won’t be joining you all. A few things have conspired to persuade me to wait at least a month before playing the game. Let me explain…

Killzone 2 has arrived, finally, after two years of hope, hype, and a lot of PS3 fanboys claiming it’s the best thing since sliced bread, without ever having played it. Personally, I tried to ignore it all and waited until the demo actually arrived earlier this month. I sampled it, got over-excited, and fell for the trap of reporting that it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Now, here we are a few weeks later, and the game is out. Anyone who pre-ordered it will likely already have a copy in their possession, and most will have played the first few levels. But I’m not joining them, and here’s why.

I made a conscious decision a couple of weeks back not to pre-order the game. I’d played the demo, loved it, and was eager to play the full game. But when I visited Amazon with the intention of reserving my copy for day-of-release delivery, something held me back.

Firstly, I have too many games on the go to add yet another one to the list. That may seem a stupid reason to miss out on one of the biggest games of the year so far but to my mind, it’s valid. I hate having dozens of games half-finished, however good the next one coming may be.

Secondly, there’s the fact that the multiplayer, a big part of Killzone 2’s appeal, is going to packed to the rafters for the next few weeks. There will be server issues, people jumping online before knowing the basic controls, and an even greater level of douchebaggery than normal on PSN.

But by far the biggest reason why I will not be playing Killzone 2 along with the rest of you for a while is because of the hype. It’s got to me, but not in a good way. I bought the first Killzone on the strength of the hyperbole and was left disappointed. Of course, this time I’ve played the demo and know the game is good, at least the part of it I’ve played. But it’s not helping.

I will buy Killzone 2… eventually, but it won’t be for at least a month. I’ll let you all play it to death, and give your honest assessment. I’ll let the initial rush to play online settle down, and the issues be resolved. I’ll endeavor to finish a few of the games I still have on the go. Then I’ll buy Killzone 2 and probably love it to bits. But if I don’t, it won’t hurt quite so much.

You say u like d damn game lots but got other games to play, doesnt even make no damn sense, why dont u leave the other normal games and play the game u like so much as you agreed the demo proved to u that it wasnt like killzone 1, cmon stop postin crap like this on N4G

Um...what server issues? I haven't seen a single problem, the servers are holding up great. Multiplayer is running smooth as silk.

Sony really does need another mainline shooter franchise. They pretty much gave up after the PS3 generation, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried at another high-profile, singleplayer-centric shooter; even if it weren't Killzone or Resistance.

I miss Killzone while I can see why they still do Horizon has some really good things but I do think that Horizon is overrated imo.

Or how about studios focus on projects that they feel passionate about, and not be forced to make something they have little interest in. It shows in the final product.

It’s still got potential for the modern era. The DNA is all there. The install base is there. The interest is there. The time is now.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

Warhawk, if they had just remade the first one not Starhawk which offered nice things like the build and battle.. but Warhawk was the best arcade shooter I ever played. Back when you didn’t have battle passes and you actually had to get certain amount of kills or ribbons to unlock different paint skins on the Warhawks and armor for your player.. Look at the success of Helldivers 2, it’s a fun game and it reminds me of Warhawk in a way. I’ve been wanting a remake or sequel since the beginning of the ps4 gen.. it’s hurts to have hope nowadays. Even with the demise of the studios Sony has a steady fan base.

Killzone game after Killzone 2 play style would be nice

Motorstorm would be epic with the visual upgrade, maybe this game would be a harder sell with the genre being not as popular nowadays..

Resistance franchise, Motorstorm and Dirt 2 which was fun as heck. Add Dead Space 2 as well.

PS3 ended up been a beast of a console, slow out of the gate, picked up steam, smashed through the finish line. The 1st PS3 slim is still one of my favourite consoles. So solid, great games, by the time GTA5 and the last of us had come out it was a clear winner for me

Sorry bud, but the PS3 generation was amazing and featured the greatest console comeback in history.

That said, I'd love it if Warhawk returned or Metal Gear Solid 4. It needs to not be shackled to the PS3 generation anymore. A Killzone 2 remake would be insane with modern graphics and that art direction.

I really miss this gen of gaming. It felt like the last truly "great" era for videogames before the modern approach really took hold.

The PS3 was such a glorious console. The UI, the games, the free online...just incredible.

I would pay good money for a Warhawk remake. Socom too. The last Socom game just didn’t do it justice. Folklore could use a remaster or remake as well.
Several other titles I would like to remade with the amount of visual fidelity the current gen has over the past consoles it could help articulate the games that we’ve loved growing up. I would love even some ps2 titles to remade.. Dark Cloud from ps2, Legacy of Kain series but don’t know what will come of it sense it was bought by Embracer group and all there layoffs.

This strategy is exactly what helped ruin Xbox. Sony more than Microsoft know when to let a franchise go and that is important to keep things fresh. The old games are there if you want to play them.

Resistance series and Killzone 2 & 3 remasters/remakes. Make it happen. They will print money.

FF13 is top of this list for me. No matter your opinion on it, it being the only numbered offline FF out of all 16 not to be on new consoles is odd. GTA IV would be great too

The only reason my PS3 is still connected is because of the Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm games that I still love to play. I am for remaking or remastering them.
