Dead Space was the most satisfying susprise this gen for me, it was so addictive, inmmersive and well done. I couldnt stop playing until i unlocked every achievment in 3 playtroughs.the final boss was massive! cant wait for a sequel!

I played through Dead Space four times and would gladly play it again. This is a game that I would never trade in or sell as it was one of the most incredible gaming experiences I've ever had. The only other game that spooked me this bad was Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly.

Xbox360 version superior.

can't wait for the sequel, i hope its in every way just as good and better. hopefully a lot more people will pay attention to it.

I played the game about 4 times through now and no matter how many times i face him, he still sends a chill up the back of my neck !

This is great news dead space was one of those games that I just could not put down. First day pick up for sure!

a short campaign and no multiplayer, if they want my 60$ again there going to have to offer more.

i just started playing DEAD SPACE about a week ago and it is amazing. its the only game that makes me stop playing GEARS 2

This game takes the crown away from Resident Evil IMO. Most games I play you can find glitches galore but this game is solid and fun as hell.

Dead Space owns and it's definitely worthy of a sequel (or three lol,) and I hope it gets here at least by next year.

But didn't care for it. maybe i should try the retail game or something since I'm the only one that didn't like it.

I realized while playing it through recently that most of the scares are predictable. You can tend to know when to shoot a body you see laying there, after solving a puzzle you can predict being flooded with sick amounts of enemies, etc.. Maybe Im just not phazed cause I've been playing enough of Survival Horror that I can run the gammot of whats going to happen that it don't do nothing for me.

The game was still enjoyable and VERY good. The gameplay was very fluid and worked for the game. But the scare factor really didn't phase me. The only part that truely got me was the giant arm that comes down the hallway and slams you to drag you to your death, but I was disappointed when they outplayed it in other levels. Showed a slight lack of ideas!. But overall a enjoyable game, has anyone bought/rented the movie? cause I almost bought it on Blu-ray a while back...

it was difficult enough on hard in some parts. Doesn't sit above resistance 2 for me though (no kickass multiplayer)

loved the first game and i think it's the first game in a long time that didn't even need a patch ( the mouse sensitivity issue could be fixed by enabling v-sync through nvidia control panel instead of in game) played it through many times working my way up difficulties and maxing out all the weapons, best value single player game ever, and awsome graphics for multi-platform too

I wanted to pick up the first game but kinda short on cash and therefore decided not to buy it.

I loved Dead Space as well and it was definitely a huge surprise hit in 2008.

I played through it 3x and still want to go back and play it again at some point.

And today I was reading that apparently they were going to do a DS2 Remake, but weren't happy enough with the first game's remake to continue. I was really hoping to see them actually make a new game to finish off the story of the franchise.

So reading the article it doesn’t seem to rule out the possibility of a Dead Space 2 remake at some point. It’s saying that the rumour that it was already in development and was shelved because of poor sales is incorrect. EA Motive immediately started working on something else. So I read that as them actually confirming that it’s not entirely off the table.
