You know why? Because the D-Pad is better. I heard that the 360 version had better graphics, but I'm not a graphics whore, so I could not care. I'm supporting the PS3. I buy all the multiplats on PS3, because I really like the PS3 controller.

If Sony paid a bunch of money for DLC then I am sure that the PS3 multiplatform games would sell better. There is no point to it as Sony would rather use it's money on new games so PS3 owners don't feel like they are left with nothing to play in 2009.

The PS3 has the superior copy protection technology, unhackable since 2006!

That pretty much explains why multiplats sell better on Sony's system.

For those mentioning companies sales maybe you should check out those figures. Yes Sony mad more money for EA in one quater of the year. Unfortunalty the rest of the year it was 360 all the way netting EA over a hundred million dollars more than they made from PS3. Same goes for Ubisoft.
Anyone who looks at the worldwide chart and sales figures can see the 360 is still selling more on the multi format front... not always but mostly.
Fallout3 nearly a million on ps3.. double that on 360. COD4 double again for 360. Yes these are two picked examples but the fact is Sony is trailing in multiformat sales overall and need to pick that up.
Can they do it... yes i belive they can. It looks like the Ps3 is picking up steam and is looking good going into 09.

That claim just doesn't make sense if 360 sells more games.

The only way to really know is to read myself since most of you are biased in favor of PS3 and will believe what you want rather than what is true.

Considering that there are more xbox360 owners out there, it's hard to say that the multiplatform games will sell better on the PS3, but with recent releases such as Street Fighter 4, I have heard that the PS3 version sold more.

That might be for a numbe rof reasons, street fighter fan loyalty to the systems they played previous street fighters on.

The Dual Shock 3 controller being a better fighting pad than the xbox360 controller.

or some other force of nature. Anyhow, one game sells more on one system and then another game sells well on the other system, there's no science to it really.

Look at what they used to say for Grand Theft Auto 4. Everyone was sure that it would sell loads more on the PS3 because of fan loyalty, but at the end of the day, promises of future DLC (which is now delivered and is excellent) have made sure the xbox360 version sells better.

I'll tell you one thing, being a multi-console owner, this past weekend I sold my PS3 copy of GTA4 so that I could buy the xbox360 version. Why? Because I want to play the new DLC.

In 2007, when PS3 did not have so many good exclusives. Me and mine friends played Cod4 day and night. One day, two of my friends decided to buy a 360 for Gears Of War and Halo 3. They bought it, and I have not seen them on PSN Network for about a week. But, two weeks later, I see them both on PSN Network. They both started to play Cod4 on PS3 later on. They only played Halo 3 and GOW for two weeks, and went back playing Cod4 on PS3. Call of Duty 4 is addictive also. Mine most played game on PS3. LittleBigPlanet is second. Heavenly Sword is third.

Guitar Hero III: the guitar works 100% better on the 360 compared to the glitchy PS3 Version with a ****ing dongle! I HATE DONGLES!! GRAW2 plays and looks better, same with R6V1/2. You got exclusive GTAIV content, Fallout 3 runs and looks better on 360 and there's exclusive DLC for that too. Dead Space on 360 doesn't have the shadowing issues that PS3 have. Bioshock looks better and is cheaper on the 360. Mirror's Edge on 360 has 2x FSAA while PS3 Version doesn't have any AA at all. And all 360 games support Achievements, Custom-Soundtrack, and 1080p upscale support. Add NXE Installs for a faster load speeds and better stability for most 360 games. You'd have to be a fanboy not to see that buying the superior multiplatform version is always the best bet for your gaming dollars. And it just happens to be the 360 Version almost every single time.

I still buy some Multiplatform games on PS3 like Soul Calibur IV and Street Fighter, despite shortcuts like no trophy support, because of the D-pad alone. But as long as the 360 Version continues to show that it's a better deal: I'll keep buying it for 360. It's got nothing to do with Piracy just like the article implies. 360 Version is the better bang for the buck graphically, and feature-wise.

The only thing I buy for PS3 anymore is just exclusives: and I don't buy exclusives that don't have trophy support and custom soundtrack support. Period. I don't pay $60 to get shortchanged in features. Another plus for 360: all games support all the features that Microsoft implement while Sony "it's either hit or miss".

I guess Sony should shell out extra money for exclusive DLC too. I have a 360 and a PS3, but for multiplatform games, I buy PS3. I like my 360, but I just don't have faith in the quality of the hardware. It's just 6 months old, and freezes frequently and sometimes won't even start up at all. Some people that have had the problem tell me that this is early signs of RROD. I can't buy to many games for a system that I KNOW will eventually give out on me.

muliltiplatform I stay with my 360 there online and graphics are always slighty better . PS3 on the other hand has and always will have the BEST exclusives , so I'm good with exclusives only on PS3 and multiplatform on Xbox 360 , games like COD Modern warfare 2 is lead platform on 360 so I have to go Xb and so on

It's already been proven by 3rd party devs like EA and Take Two that PS3 version games has become their bread winner and it could only go up from there with other companies following suit. I was just playing Street Fighter 4 and I just unlocked a T-shirt for my Home avatar. How hype is that?? I mean, instead of buying them, you could just play a game, complete certain tasks, and unlock clothing,furniture,arcade games,ect.. If and when Sony implements this in most or all games on the PS3, it's going to put software sales over the top. Plus, unlike 360 achievements, Sony is actually in the works on doing something with Trophies and not just having them there to help out gamer's self-esteem. Sony is planning big things down the line. Hopefully, they follow through.

I think that all of this discussion about whether the 360 or PS3 make more profit on multiplatform games is pretty myopic.

The real question, in my mind, is: Why are games this generation, more than perhaps any other, going multiplatform?

I think that the answer is that rising development costs, particularly for the HD systems, and the fact that PS3 and 360 are--in spite of fanboy quibbling--in close competition is making development of single platform exclusives financially untenable for most developers. Or, to say the same thing in a more positive way: Developers need the profits from sales on both consoles in order to survive.

In this way, the relationship between the PS3 and 360 is actually just as symbiotic as it is competitive. And that's a point that I think is missed by most of the console warriorz.

you guyz are fallin for their trap, they want hits, so they will just post somethin bad about ps3 to get attention and you guyz approve this sh*t, thats how they work.

360 gamers just seem to buy more games. Maybe it's the marketing, fanbase..and of course the 360 does not fight with DVD players on the shelves, for sales like the PS3 and BLU-RAY players.

I'll always say, many buy PS3, just for Movie purposes. It is, what it is. so that, does not help your game software sales.

Again, look at the big 3rd-party exclusives, that were lost and have always sold, a whole lot more on the Playstation brand, well the Xbox 360 cut into them sales/share. Exactly what the strategy is for market-share with 360's marketable price.

Again this is what devs wanna see before they give support or go multiplat depending on the game.
